Imagine being made to sign one of these? It's just mental.

"I will not chant, use banter or wahoys!"

What the fuck is a wahoy?

Didn't want to be breathing the same air as her.

Scotland is now the most educated country in Europe, seems a good place to be bringing kids up, and fair play if they are trying to teach kids to respect one another in the playground.

Just another scumbag journo having a pop at state schools by the looks of things. Note the quote from an outraged parent is from a bloke who has a 12 year old kid at primary school. Probably being the oldest kid there he has got the hump cos he's not allowed to bully the little kids.

Indeed! Scotland could become another Scandinavian type country, hence the government pulling out all the stops to stop them gaining independence. I am sure though in time, people in Scotland will see the improvements and will want independence anyway. And for us in the North East of England.....

Personally I think the contract is brilliant and the author of that "article" an arse.

It's primary school ffs. Don't deliberately foul. In the adult game it can be used for a tactical advantage. In a primary school game it's not, it's kicking other kids. 'banter' is not trying to unsettle the opposition, it's abusing other kids.

I mean really? God forbid teachers wanting kids to be nice to each other!

It's obviously about encouraging team play on and off the pitch.
It's about getting everyone involved, so some kids are rubbish at sport, stuff like this gets them more involved, which might make them better.

I wasn't very good at football as a kid, but I had a good teacher. He gave me a specific role, one game he told me to mark the opposition's best player, as he said 'be his shadow' . Before I might have been on the peripherary, but I had been given a role, a purpose in the team. I did it and I did alright at that job. That free scoring player had a much more difficult time and I felt important for my team. The decent player luckily happened to be a friend of mine and it was really encouraging to have him complain that I marked him all game. A real confidence boost. Made me want to play football in the future rather than it be a chore.

That's what this 'contract' is about. Political correctness gone mad my backside. It's not okay to be nasty to other people. It's being a decent human being, not about being PC.

"Scottish Tory young people spokesman Liz Smith said: β€˜It seems most parents have already given their verdict which makes plain that they see this ruling as health and safety bureaucracy at its very worst.’"
Health and safety at it's worst is trying to get kids not to kick each other and to not abuse in classes after the game? Sod off love (purposefully condescending because she wants school ground 'banter' to be okay).
No wonder I have no love for tories. Newsflash, football is a team game and life, ideally should be (naively idyllic, I know, that's why I use the term ideally. 'Big society, all in it together' is bollocks but the idea is sound)

My only concern with that contract is the grammar. That is the ONLY thing about it that is a poor example to kids.

I think exactly the same about the Morning Star. How that excuse for a newspaper hasn't yet been taken off the shelves in this country is beyond me. Some of the garbage wrote in it is an insult to journalism.
Thank god for papers like the Daily Mail for telling it like it is actually happening, even if the anti-British loony lefty minority don't like it.
