Anyone heard the rumour that Woods is going to Oldham?

I'd be surprised if he is. I like him but I think league two is his level.

I like hm but Featherstone and him offer nothing when playing together. Although I like Woods I still ask myself what does he actually do.

He just does the little things perfectly for me. He's not going to spray the ball left and right all the time but he reads the game so well, always looks Composed and loves an old school tackle. Not bad from a man who broke his leg. If i can get my head any further up his cavity here i'd also add 'good going forward'

Although not to use a too distant example, he was boss against Derby. Put him in a solid midfield and he will do a job easily in league 1/possibly championship.

Be very happy if we can hang on to him and have a season of him and Hawkins in midfield. The only thing that will stop his career is whether anyone will take a chance on him after the injury.

I'd like to see him him have a full season his broken leg disrupted last season obviously that it happened when he was playing very well and at the start of this one he played a lot (way too much in hindsight) then had a probably understandable dip to come back strong again at the end.

I like him as a player and if it wasn't for injuries I reckon he'd be playing at a higher level but I like to him put a full consistent season together and also to learn to shoot because the amount of good positions he shanks wide in or scuffs into the first man isn't normal.

I would not be surprised if he left for Oldham or anybody in the lower reaches of the bottom of league two. The lads commitment and effort cannot be questioned gets around the park puts in a tackle has a decent touch and more than capable of playing a telling pass well illustrated in the Portsmouth game not his fault other people missed them. As PJ said although his finishing is only slightly better than Bjornsson's still manages to get a few goals. Apparently fits the description of the midfielder we are looking for. All the things Brad Walker can apparently do but has failed to do for over 2 years but he has the potential to do these things again supposedly I will believe that when I see it.

Woods will probably leave likewise Duckworth because they will get themselves a better paid job and I will not blame anybody for doing that.

He hasn't been an automatic first choice midfielder in a team struggling to stay in the leaguefor the last three seasons. When he has played in a 4-4-2 formation we've looked very beatable, whoever his partner has been. Maybe that says more about the rest of the squad, but it's not like he's a promising young lad any more, he's in his mid 20s.

I like him and he's done a good job for us but I really don't think he's League One quality.

I think his time on the bench has been down to the "style" (if you can even call it that) of football we have been playing the last few seasons and obviously his injury, which he was rushed back from far too quick.

We did also play Magnay in midfield, who was reported as saying after one match "I had a complete Hossam Ghaly playing centre-mid there. Gaffa wouldn't bring me off and the ref wouldn't send me off for assault"

He's definitely a step above in my opinion and will only get better under Hignett alongside Hawkins. If he stays.....
