Somebody has put some money on him!

The article doesn't make Blackburn sound like much of a proposition, still, a big step up for a League Two manager.

Not a chance he will go.

But somebody must have put a decent wedge on him though for odds to be like that.

Oh FFS!

It'd be VERY nice if Hignett publicly counted himself out of this speculation by the end of this afternoon.

If he doesn't....

I wouldn't rush into working for the Venky Bros if I was him...likely to be out of work by the end of September if he doesn't get them top...

Let's be honest if some one offers you a 3 year contract at 10 times your current salary your not going to say no, set him up for life. Pools would also hopefully qualify for compensation.

Coxall tweeting no approach and they will be told 'hands off' if they do.

Fuck me a chairman keeping us informed of proceedings!

Company called Seneca Partners about to take over from Venkys at Blackburn but cant see any obvious link with the Seneca associated with Pools. Plus it looks like Blackburn want to retain existing coaching staff - Alan Stubbs been linked in Blackburn press and he has worked with current assistant Alan Irvine before. Too early for Hignett to be linked to any top jobs as he hasnt proved himself here yet as the last 4 games showed. If we are as successful as we hope then he will inevitably be linked with other clubs - just like Chris Wilder at Northampton.

In total agreement. I do think Higgy will be a success but just can't see any club outside of our division taking a gamble on him at this point.

Either way - it's come at a bad time when they want people to buy season tickets. I'll hang fire and see how this pans out

8/13 with Skybet, can't believe he was ever 1/10.

Strange that none of the Nationals or the BBC Website have mentioned Hignetts name.
I couldn't see Blackburn taking a chance on some one with a very limited management career.

If Hignett was interested, how much would he/his wife/his representative have to put on Skybet to get him odds on status early doors? An easy way to get your name in the frame? Can't see Blackburn being in the slightest bit interested after 20 games in charge and more losses than wins.
