A quick look back through the last 5 seasons and Pools must do something about their extremely poor league record they have when they play on a Tuesday evening.

Based on my provisional research, this is our league record at home for the past 5 seasons.

P W D L Pts
23 4 5 14 17

And for our away league matches:

P W D L Pts
21 2 3 16 9

Giving a total of:

P W D L Pts
44 6 8 30 26

I thought this needs highlighting because if we are to challenge for at least a play off place next season, something must be done about our poor form when we play on a Tuesday night.
I think we should ask the Football League not to schedule any matches next season for Pools on a Tuesday and we select an alternative weekday. Any suggestions?

Our performances on a Tuesday are way below our normal performances, which I agree is not that brilliant. However we do have a problem with playing on a Tuesday.
Even this season when we were in a good run of form, we only collected 1 point from a possible 15 from our last 5 Tuesday fixtures!

Just something for the management to have a think about, because it is a weak spot and we may need to prepare for these games differently if we are going to change things around.

2 Away wins in 5 years on Tuesday night, and 9 points in 5 years (  ) is abnormally shit even for a shit squad.

Do we hitchhike to midweek away games?

Blyth and Salford fans may disagree.

Maybe we could contact those nice people at the Football League and ask if they could see their way to letting us play on the nights we felt in the mood. I can't see a problem.
