Whilst Barker was the undoubted brains of the 2 in terms of writing to can't underestimate what a brilliant comic character actor Ronnie Corbett was. When you watch their stuff back some of it is very dated but some of the language related sketches are still superb

The bit below was mailed by one of my mates just now, it's a bit like a 2 Ronnie's sketch......

This is a transcript of a conversation that my sister had with her son Daniel 10 & daughter Jessica 8:

Sister to Daniel: Ronnie Corbett has died
Daniel: Who?
Sister: Ronnie corbett from the 2 Ronnies
Daniel: Which one?
Sister: Ronnie Corbett
Daniel: from only fools and horses?
Sister: No, from the two Ronnies
Daniel: Is the other Ronnie sad?
Sister: no he's dead too
Daniel: Why didn't you say the 2 Ronnies are dead then?
Sister: Because he only died this morning?
Daniel: Did the other one die this afternoon?
Sister: I give up

20 mins later:

Daniel to Jessica: the 2 Ronnie corbins are dead
Jess: who?
Daniel: 2 old Ronnies from only fools and horses
Jess: oh, never see them
Daniel: well, you won't now
