I'm thinking of taking the bairns there tomorrow, has anyone else been?

It's bigger than you might imagine, and in its way it's as good as York. Being in what used to be the Great Western Railway workshops, it makes a feature of that. It's more of a proper museum of railways rather than a shed full of railway vehicles as at York and Shildon. Seeing a loco from down an inspection pit is great, and you'll all want to pose next to Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Thanks Elmo, we went this afty and it was ace, kids loved it too.

It further confirmed my low opinion of Swindon though, everything is really badly signposted, there are too many unnecessary roundabouts, and the whole place is deathly dull. Locals seem ok in spite of this though.
