For reasons I won't go into I won't be using them again.
But is there any taxi alternatives around Hartlepool?

If you want to get one at a reasonable time on a Saturday these days I'd book now!

Navigation seem ok the times I've used them (262626 I think) but apparently the Town has nowhere near the amount of drivers it used to have.

LOL.

Seriously though, a driver overcharged me. When I queried this with their office,
they got in touch with the driver who (to put it nicely) told an untrue story to justify it, and I got fobbed off at best, and was made to look a liar at worst.
So out of principle I will not use them again.

I got a taxi in hull a few weeks ago, the driver charged me £6.50 for a route usually charged at a fiver, so I said "that's a bit high mate, it's only usually a fiver" so he went "ah just give us three quid then" sctatchinghead

Last time I was out in town before Christmas I was shocked at how few taxis there are now. You used to be able to stand on Stockton/Oxford/Catcote Road at any time and flag one down within five minutes. Does Uber have owt to do with it?

Is Uber in Hartlepool? I think more to do with lack of demand. So cheap for taxi back home here they have your eyes out so I don't bother

Does that mean not enough people wanting to do the job?
