Just a piece on the news about there new ground that's two years behind schedule and not even started being build despite that it was meant to be open for the start of next season.

There chairman said they want the new ground because it doesn't meet football league criteria for disabled facilities, floodlights or changing rooms. I'm amazed it doesn't fail on more really.

I'm not sure the point of such criteria though when it isn't enforced, I can't imagine them being the only ones not up to standard either.

Put a roof over the away end and it would be a cracking ground IMO  I hope the move falls through.

It's only good because of were it is really it terms of facilities it makes the Vic look Old Trafford. It's a proper shit hole, even with a roof on the away barely any vantage point gives you a decent view of the pitch. Even in the seats a big iron fence obscures about 20% of the pitch.

Doesn't it fail on toilets as well? Or are the Football League fine with by half time having to wade through 12 inches of piss to relieve yourself up a wall?

Still prefer it to some breeze block box near a ring road every day of the week though.

There was plastic sheets over the toilets this year so they're clearly posh. I'm not actually sure if both sides of the toilets are meant to be 'urinals' or if the side with the sinks is genuinely just a wall and we don't realise.

At Accrington they only put seats in the front of the home end and in the shed up the side to reach league standards; plus there floodlights don't cover the corners of the pitch. It does make you wonder what these standards are.

PJ is spot on, when you think of somewhere like Chesterfield or Barnet, the old grounds have so much more character. I'm not the sort of bloke who is bothered about pissing up a wall.

The amount of times I've seen people pissing in the sink at grounds, I'm not that surprised the toilets are usually very basic.

Luton the other week was the last time confised

I don't think pissing in sinks is that bad, it's not like someone is going to have a shave in it.

I once got hoyed out of a pub in Leamington for pissing in the sink, some uptight poncy twat took umbrage and spragged on me to a bouncer like a pencil monitor to teacher. I'd just got a pint in as well.

I remember taking a shit in a pub sink when rat arsed. Out of common decency I turned the taps on afterwards to try and make it dissolve and flush down the plug hole but it didn't work.

To be fair the shit had nestled on top of the sink hole and made a perfect seal as the water wasnt going down so it kind of made a poo soup in the sink, probably on par with what food they served.

Their proposed new ground is pretty much outside my office window at our HQ in Monks Cross, York.

If that's a football ground in the next two years, my name is Horace Wimp.

I hope they stay up at the expense of Dagenham and Morecambe or somebody else, or if they do go down bounce straight back like Bristol Rovers. And that they play at Bootham for many years to come. Best away day in the league by miles.

That Fewster lad on loan from the Boro needs to start scoring again if they're going to do anything.

Pools have had some lean times in front of goal but according to BBC Sport they only managed 2 shots all game against the Daggers to go with their one shot at Oxford - all off target!

I like going to Bootham Crescent too, but to be honest I'd rather see Pools pull well clear before York start winning again.

Fewster scored a few goals while playing up front. For some reason the manager has played him on the wing lately,I hope he keeps doing that.

Very disappointed in you PIN, how can you possible want Morcambe to go down ahead of Stevenage, shit town, shit ground and we never win there :angry-screaming:

Only been to Morecambe once but was a fantastic day out and for a new ground, they have built it right by still having covered terracing at both ends
