Looks like a pretty tough selection process to be in charge of cell block H these days

Incidentally she was an auxiliary officer, not a prison officer. The story is also 15 months old. Do keep up !!!

Always happy to help

To be fair a lot of your fishing trips are somewhat predictable and to get this thread back on track, the Tories will fuck you boys over before long because everyone is fair game to these arsemunchers

Up some peoples bum bums, may be staff may be visitors. I've seen enough episodes of within these walls to know the score

My comment was clearly a tongue in cheek joke from the thread the other day in which I was really interested in your response.

Big report on HMP Leicester today, says drugs and alcohol freely available. You can't tell me prison staff weren't/aren't turning blind eyes to that.

They are the last things staff want flying about. Particularly alcohol

The fact is most systems in the country (the world?) are in the shit. Prisons, health service, education, whatever. There're always those with vested interests who'll argue vehemently that it isn't happening or that it's someone else's fault.

Factual accounts of situations, like the one Mr and Mrs Shilts are in, just get cancelled out by fictitious narratives of people with personal agenda who are clever about manipulating the press.

My daughter does workshops with primary school children. In a discussion during one of these, she asked the kids what their ideas were for the future. A nine-year old kid replied, "There isn't going to be a future."
Can't really argue with that but it's a bit heart-breaking that nine year olds have twigged it already.

Since they invented the title of Chief Executive in the NHS their salaries have gone through the roof along with all their assistants, never had them years ago, think they were just Matrons and Managers then who had knowledge about healthcare.

Bresslaw how has alcohol got into a prison without the co-operation of a number of prison officers and the silence of a number of others? Drugs up people's arses I can kind of understand, but who on earth can get a half-litre bottle.of Smirnoff up their jacksie?

OK then, how on earth is it possible to have some kind of still go undetected without prison staff turning bling eyes?

You've never been responsible for searching a wing of 150 prisoners spread over three landings and three wings with more places to do conceal stuff. Innocent looking pop bottles, cleaning fluid bottles etc all over the place.

Trust me. Officers do not want alcohol on landings.
