Keep getting this, blue screen, error, shuts me laptop down.

Getting an error message reference by pointer.

Anyone know how to stop this?

ran a few cleanup things on the laptop n one website suggests a malware detector.

Running the latest windows by the way.

Make the screen black and white with the contrast button.

If you've got the original Windows CDs I'd suggest backing your files up and then doing a format of the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

If the blue screens keep happening after that, I'd suggest it's a hardware problem and you might need to take the laptop back and get a replacement if it's still under warranty.

Need to know the error code to have a chance. Usually when it blue screen its going to give some random dump code. Try and get a picture when it does it.
