Wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the team Saturday. His career plummeted since the departure of hignett. If I remember right with pools and boro it was always one up top with 3 creative players behind. Luke Williams and James Poole, Compton and Barmby and dare I say jonathan franks. Will be good to see a change in style and system

same with Duckworth to an extent. We might see him back in his best role!

Is Barmby still playing right back at Notts County?

Like Fenwick back in on Saturday and given a job to do- Cloughie on the damned United and in reality was doing what Higgy needs to do -Higgy to Brad Walker- Go out there, your jobs to get the ball forward and hold it up- you and Jack Compton-Equals.

Can see Higgy saying that Cloughie style-its Walker's mindset thats the issue no disrespect intended to the lad but seeing him in the crowd and with his mates at the ressies never seems the sharpest-he reminds me of Trigger off Only Fools and horses, tell him what to do-show him-give him a job and he will do it and get back to form- give the lad a shovel and he''ll dig down to Australia unless you say right Brad you are done. Don't know the kid but his vacant kind of look gives me this impression and not being offensive just saying what I see.

Have I got it wrong Wommers? do you know different. Sadly judging books by its cover is what most of us do unless of course you know the person personally or know different. So Moore in the end was not an old bloke, who had pulled off the great escape but didn't have it in him to do it again-oh and two teams as shite as Cheltenham or Tranmere is not L2 this year?

I was amused by the bizarre reference to Trigger because he's been seen having a laugh with his mates. The lad is still only young, perhaps a bit of an arm around the shoulder might help. Maybe that's something Hignett can bring back to try and instill a bit of belief into the players, something Moore seemed to be doing less and less of (and in fact hampering) with his constant berating and blaming of the players and not himself.

I agree with you there, he has one of those vacant gazes and I used to sit next to him in the Millhouse when he was a youth team player.
"Why did Brad stare at the orange juice carton?", because it said concentrate on the label

Nice one, I do like a bit of banter on here the Bunker has been awfully dull- there in no harm in an exchange of views and opinions, right Walkers a young lad, seems a follower not a leader, I was set behing him and 3 of four of his mates-one of them had the crack Brad was following, didn't seem to have muck crack though?
Moore seemed to be keen to offload his failings on the players, you can only do that so often before the players think "fook that" and give about 20% of what they are capable of. Hopefully Higgy should instill a bit of confidence cos the strikers/ attackers know what Higgy could do and probably still can,

Gray and Walker play a similar role, perhaps Moore thought he was the better option sctatchinghead

Or more likely Wolves decided he wasn't good enough. Like all players, his future is in his hands .

Exactly. Far too often the entire game just passes Walker by. Rarely even doing basics such as closing the opposition down. It's up to him if he wants to make anything of his career as it'll soon be over if he doesn't.

Give it a rest, how could you possibly know if he liked him or not. Ever occur to you he may not have been producing the goods...?
Ron's gone, fair enough, but when he's disappeared out of sight for the final time don't go dumping every minor grievance you hold against him as his fault.

Walker did little on the pitch to indicate that he deserved a place in the team. He has been sleepwalking his way round the pitch for a while now and certainly well before Moore turned up.

It's purely been down to formation with Jones I think.

He's not a left back and never looked at home in the full back position, forget about Carrolls form you'd be doing Jones no favours playing there for me. The idiots would without doubt be singling him out by now.

We turned the corner last year playing with three centre backs and Jones did really well as the left sided centre back. It surprises me that when we started to struggle Moore didn't go back to that. Rightly or wrongly though Jones position has only had two places available for nearly all of the season as we've played with a back four and he's probably behind Bates, Jones and Jackson in the pecking order.

I think PJ means behind Bates Harrison and Jackson. Jones was fantastic in the three centreback formation. Of all the aforementioned I would love to see him play as he shows far and away the most promise. Fair play though Bates has looked the business in most games he has played.

dan jones isn,t very good. he is way too slow at releasing the ball. he might be better than carroll but he,s still not league 2 standard. just my opinion like.

So what formation and line up are we expecting?

Have a feeling will be a lot of changes.

He is a solid centre back, he isn't a left back and never will be. Those clambering for him to start at left back must either have a screw loose or know fuck all about football.

What a weird post chip. I suspect every footballer in pools team is better than those that post on here! Doesn't change the opinion people can have of players cos they are better than them.

I think he can feel harshly treated but he isn't as good as those ahead of him for centre back in a 2

Speaking on Radio Tees tonight Hignett said he was going to try and get Brad back on track, knows what he could do from his time with us before and said he was good enough to get back in the team. Also, said he wasn't looking to use the loan market, the players at Pools are good enough for now and then look longer term. Encouraging that he seems to have a grand plan of attacking style football
