Can't believe how bad our ball retention has been this season, we give the ball away far too cheaply. Last night we basically 'gave' the ball back to the opposition without them having to try to win it back. Hopefully something that Hignett will rightly address.
Cannot believe how appalliing we've actually been, the fan's deserve a lot of credit for their patience, but I don't think it's helped us any. We've basically given Ronnie more respect than he probably deserved.

“We’ve got some games in hand, I know that, and I have to get my views over to the players and let them know how I want them to play because there will be a change in style, that’s for sure"

One of the most encouraging things I've read today (and it's had quite a bit of competition). To be honest the players looked as miserable playing Moore's way as we were watching it. Let's hope Hignett brings a bit of fun back to The Vic.

Infact Craig Hignett with Eddie Kyle as assistant would be my dream team. Always liked Eddies open and honest summaries on Pools weaknesses.

Spot on, games in hand mean nought unless you win them- Stevenage should have left here beaten -they didn't, Exeter- the same-not a great side but had the measure of us.

At times we beat ourselves and sadly not retaining the ball and giving it away so often has one inevitable outcome. Likewise if you don't shoot you don't score often says why sides are down the bottom but often said to be "not playing badly" or unlucky.

I hope to retain my balls for some time, however I am considering waxing them, the dog always sneezes when he has finished eating his chum off them :animals-dogrun:

We have very few players who show for the ball and actually want it. Hawkins is one and Featherstone the other. No matter what your opinion on him, if you want ball retainment then he should be playing.
