Pleased he's being kept on in some role, you could tell by the way he sprinted down the line to get the ball back into play last night he's really passionate about the club.

Aye but Sam must be jointly responsible for some of it, I'd give Sam the under 21's and let Higgy bring his own man in-Curtis Fleming keeps being mentioned and I've heard Craig Liddle. I'd keep Sam on in some capacity but more coach than assistant manager.

Thought it'd already been mentioned that he'll not be assistant anyway?

"Sam Collins will remain with the Club but work in a new role focusing on the Club’s Under-21 players and their bid to bridge the gap from scholarship to First Team football"

And

"Hignett – who is working to assemble his own backroom staff – will be in the Pools dugout for the first time on Saturday when Yeovil Town are visitors to The Vic."

From the website

I think the only reason Collins has been kept on is because he will still be on
Players contract so not so easy to 'sack' him.
We already have John Hewitson running the Youth Team/U21's so I think Collins has been moved to the side for the time being.

I'm passionate too, but that doesn't constitute a reason to be kept on.

As a regular at reserve games, the players may as well pick themselves, have a sort out who is playing where and crack on for all the encouragement, guidance and motivation they get!

Come on down and check it out, been in noisier morgues

Couldn't imagine you being passionate.
