Brad Walker is to play for Wolves tonight against Aston Villa in a trial game. Let him go if we get a few quid for him.

Hopefully those days are behind us. Even if we get 50k, that can go towards paying a decent players wages until the rest of the season.

Anyone else got a sneaky feeling this will be concluded 3 minutes before the deadline closes so we can't reinvest any of the money?

i'm not overly fussed tbh. he rarely gets a look in anyway. Wish the lad well though, hopefully if we get some coin for him it could be spent on a Rhys Murphy or a Gary Liddle

He isn't doing it at pools any more and there seems no sign of that changing. Such a move move would probably give him the boost he needs and get the club extra money Could work out well all round

Think it will work well for all parties. I think the lad has massive potential and we have seen glimpses of it since he started getting games for us. With the right coaching he can make it very far in the game.

Agree with all of that.

Maybe the rough and tumble of League Two football isn't doing him any favours. Getting away from home would give him the chance to develop as a player and maybe grow up a bit too.

£50k (and a sell on clause) sounds about right; a Hartlepool fringe player isn't going to go for big money.

I'd like to think it would be a minimal fee up front with appearance money and sell on clauses to make it well worthwhile. Surely such a deal would benefit both teams as it'd be a gamble for Wolves.

Not sure I agree with him struggling with the physical side of league two as he did alright when he first burst into the team. There's been rumours about his off field attitude and behaviour so if that's true a move would be the best for him and Pools.

I think the issue is here that he isn't getting in the first team, and there is little to suggest out coaching has done much to help him advance. Hopefully if he goes to Wolves the coaching will be more helpful until he gets his chance. Plus him moving away might change his attitude a bit, not saying he has a bad one, but he will be more focused on his football.

He's a big unit but not much of a tackler and the pace of the game often seems to pass him by. Granted he's got loads of technical ability, but the way our midfield is set up doesn't suit his style of play.

He did well in his first season with a defensive midfielder in the team (shhh - you know who) but this season he has usually looked like a luxury the team can't afford. I'm not surprised Featherstone, who is a much more industrious, keeps getting the nod over him.

Such a shame but great for him. What a super prospect he looked, but under Ronnie he has gone backwards. Hope he does well.

I've got nothing against Coxall but I did say I'd reserve judgement until end of the transfer window and it's getting closer.
The preseason signings won't have increased the wage bill by much if at all and the only changes we've seen is a PA system upgrade and a link with a club in the football hotspot of Finland.

This 'statement signing' better be good! I know he bangs on about steady progress, which I agree with, but there's a shit load of TV cash somewhere and both the chairman and manager have stated signings will be made in Jan.

Wolves under 21 match report from tonight on their website, says Walker had a good game and was a presence in midfield, made some excellent passes and nearly scored a wonderful goal. Sounds as if it went well for him.

Good luck to the lad - he had some stunning games early doors - why he isn't doing it now must be down to both him and the dinosaurs.

Let's hope that Cocksall remembers the seel on fee...................

He would be a walrus indeed if he did and only a kiss from a rose would appease the fans :hand:

I'd tell them to get lost, put up or shut up. They are messing the kid and us around, his head is now turned. If you want him, cheque book time.
