So who's giving up a few units as a result of all this recent 'research' then? Come on, own up.

I'm drinking more, to make up for those who drink less. Someone has to keep the economy moving. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

I don't particularly drink anyway so it makes little difference to me. What do you think of Farage's comments on it? He pretty much said we should have a mass protest against it; if people want to die young because of drinking so what.

I doubt it will make any difference but its just common sense really; its better to have a few pints one day and not drink for a couple of days a week than drink one pint every day.

Well, Farage should clearly keep on knocking back the pints. The sooner he drinks himself to death the better!

One thing I do object to is people drinking themselves silly at pubs and clubs, and then expecting the NHS to patch up their resulting injuries. They should be made to pay for their treatment, then town centres might be safer for the rest of us at night.

After running a pub for 3 years and seeing nice people turning into arseholes after a session, i decided i was a big enough arse without it, plus I was never a big drinker and didn`t really like the effect.

What a load of bollocks I been to Germany four times in last year and never once had any trouble there then or the other numerous times I have been. The Germans love a drink and good laugh with it.

Drinking regularly is compulsory over here and apart from a very high rate of liver cancer everybody thrives on it.

It's all nonsense and they change their mind every five minutes, they'll be back next month with a study that says you have to drink a bottle of red wine a day.

All things in moderation. Well, not literally. Strychnine even in moderation is a bad thing.

I did the dry January thing for about 8 years, and always came down with a bad cold after about a week. I haven't done it for the last few years and I've been fine. Have that, health freaks.
