Haven't won an away game in the league since the first day of the season. Are bound to break that run against us.

Then again, they haven't won at the Vic since the 1950s.

It's strange how these runs go on for so long even with complete different teams. Hopefully it continues as with us not playing on Monday, if teams below pick up points, then the pressure begins to build even further

2 1 win
Then anutha 7 wins required or a lot of favours from the teams playing the teams below us.
Either way i will take 22nd again.

unless ronnie walks I can't imagine he is going to be gone anytime soon and certainly don't think he would walk.

we would have to pay his contract up I imagine (unless a clause involved) so I reckon we will have him for quite a while regardless of results

Nailed on postponement, it started raining about five hours ago it's not forecast to stop until well after kick off.

They've probably just contacted the ref to come and call the game off before Notts County set off. Zero chance of the game going ahead. Typical given its our first home fixture on a Boxing Day for 8 years.

After the derby game we could have four games in hand on some teams which will be useful for our late play off surge.

You'd require storm drains to cope with the volume of rain we've had and even more is forecast. I'd dare say even if the pitch had been covered the game would be unlikely to go ahead looking at the forecast.

Possibly true but games going ahead with similar rainfall I can't agree with, it's been raining constantly and heavily for approaching 24 hours and it's set to continue and get heavier into tonight. Can't remember that sort of rainfall for a long time.

Think CHIP has a valid point.
Had the match been on Sky then the covers would of most certainly gone on and i few pitch forks employed.
Anyway will be rearanged for all these new quality signings.

I said approaching 24 hours, it started raining at about ten to twelve yesterday (as I was walking to the pub rakxe ) and to my knowledge it hasn't at any point stopped (it certainly wasn't forecast to) it's rained a lot, you probably have a point about the covers but when you see games starting to get called off at Premiership standard grounds like Blackburn you know it's rained loads and that whatever had been done today the game would be in doubt.

We don't have rain covers, we have frost covers.

And covering the pitch when it rains - unless you have a specialist rain cover - usually only makes things worse because there is nowhere for all the water to go and the covers are nearly impossible to remove.

The rain has been pretty much incessant throughout Christmas Day and particularly heavy during the afternoon and overnight. There is standing water on the pitch which would probably have drained. However, the forecast is for it to continue raining all day and the referee was concerned that there was no way it would improve and was mindful of Notts County fans having to travel.

I hope that clears things up.

Mark.

Glad I got my "Festive Special" into the PRE Xmas programme!!!! That would have looked a bit daft in March. The rain has been heavy since about twelve bells on Xmas day. I knew it would be off last night. I can't remember my last totally Pools-free Xmas...

He's finally after a number of years completely flipped. Sat there in his flea ridden hovel in his piss soaked y fronts incoherently rambling at people on the Internet.

It won't be long now before his Liver fails for the last time and he's out of his misery for good and we're spared of his horrendous craic, with having him still have watched as many Darlington A66 Brick Train matches as all of us have in our life. None.

You are a big spunk bubble and a 'lovely lovely person', however I'm not 100% convinced you are actually a darlow fan, rather a pools fan successfully fishing for bites

They reckon the first 25 quid of any fundraising effort is always the hardest, so well played. Think donation is conditional on them not signing any foreigners, and having a swastika on the away shirt.

Are they on the fucking beg again?

It's never ending they should either give in or register as a fucking charity.

Darlos Lack of cash means a player they chased for months Kneeshaw is leaving, never mind I am sure the begging for cash from David Mills the director will be answered by 'huge' fan Sussex. sctatchinghead
