Is bottom of the League above us, the fact there are 3 really poor sides below us is masking what a godawful season we've had so far.
On the coaching side (which I happen to think is one of the main reason's we are where we are) did anyone notice the subs working together at half time in a group rather than randomly hoofing the ball to one another across the pitch during the break, which is going back to what we were doing at the start of the season.
I'm not suggesting this will singularly make a difference, but a real shake-up/rethink on the coaching side is definitely needed as the standards up to now have obviously been nowhere near good enough.......e.g. our first corner on Saturday clearing everyone and going straight out for a throw in banghead

For some reason on corners all our players attack the front post and no one covers the back stick.

Maybe just presume its going to hit the first man as usual.

Thought he was after the top job rather than coach?

Fair play to Hignett/his agent, that interview he did has got a chunk of the fans in his corner. It would take a brave chairman to appoint someone else if he did sack Ronnie.

20 points and more importantly only 20 goals, the lowest scorers in the division. 2 of those being penalties and 1 own goal I believe which makes it 17 from open play. But it's alright because Moore thinks there's goals in his team. And he's tipped Carroll to knock in a few. The writing is most definitely on the wall.

I noticed the players 'working together' if you can call it that. They - including our goalkeeper - were playing three yards passes to each other. If a professional footballer can't play a three yard pass! There was a strong wind, the keeper should have been practising balls in the air. Walker should have been practising long balls to Bingham. And we should have been practising shooting against the wind seeing as though we didn't bother in the first half with the wind behind us. How many shots did Plymouth have in the first few minutes of the second half when they had the wind behind them? Words fail me just how inept we are tactically.

The only deadball situation i get excited about is a penalty as free kicks and corners rarely produce goals and this has gone on for to long.
What goes on in training is anyones guess a mystery for scooby doo to solve!

If Hignett did come as coach, this would surely be a new appointment, as I've seen no evidence of a coach ever being employed for quite a while now.

He was at the match on Saturday, maybe it's time to start putting 2 and 2 together

His interview in last week's Gazette wasn't the most subtle about wanting the job once it's available

I despair when the players come out for each half and gather to do those inane routines on the touchline. What the hell is that all about? We just look total tits.

Walked past that miserable git Lee Clarke in the car park before the match on Saturday, god help us if he ever gets the job!

Whilst I would never want lee Clarke in charge, someone like him might finally get us from being so soft.

We must literally be the nicest team in the football league. When people foul our player, stay on the floor. Get other players round the ref. Make ref think about it. We get straight back up and shake hands with the opposition.

It's not pretty but it's part and parcel of the game now. Take tactical yellow cards, think gray did it although that was only 4 minutes in ha

Compared to what?

How could things possibly be worse than they currently are?

Please tell me.

Clark reminds me of Turner.

Both fuck all to show on CV apart from failure.

Chris Turner is like the late Brian Clough compared to Clark.

His record since Huddersfield (where he failed with a huge budget and an entourage of experienced backroom and staff) is staggeringly appalling. Something like a point game over 116 matches at Birmingham and twenty points in 33 games at Blackpool.

If he ever got the Pools job I'd be having a spell where I didn't go.

I,d be very surprised if a new manager was in the offing.
Add Ronnie n Sams wages together times it by 2 n half years and theres u answer.
More or less stuck with them unless they resign which i cant see happening.

They claim to be good coaches who can send these loanies back to there parent clubs better players.
Only 1 out of the last 20 odd loanies has benefitted from this unless theres some kind of confusion between eyes and pickled onions!

I'd say Tshibola and Hugill benefited. More from first team games than any coaching I suspect though.

Which makes it all the more baffling why JPNG gave them new contracts where were they expecting 62 year old Moore to go?

Sam Collins was hardly going to be fighting off offers with a shitty stick either

Right. I get the point about Lee Clark.

Now answer my question:

How couldit possibly be worse than it is now?

I have seem with my own eyes recently how bad this team is, and reading the most of the boards, it seems more or less accepted that this is the worst team we have ever had.

So I must ask again, how could it possibly be worse?

Are you suggesting you would rather go down than try that spotty horrible twat?

It would be worse as Lee Clark is a worse manager than Moore HTH

Have to disagree here. Last year's team was horrific. This one is better, not much, but it's definitely better.

This team could easily go down this year but I still think its much better than last years shambles. Last years team would of caved in against Salford and had a few more batterings than we have had currently.

You could argue though that Huddersfield went 20 odd games unbeaten. I think we would settle for three games at present. Would be nice to see a team winning for a change whoever it is that would be a step in the right direction. Until we spend some money on getting decent quality players we may as well stick with who we have with maybe a decent coach brought in to help.

Every time I think of Lee Clarke there's an endearing image of him jumping up and down and shouting in a previous Stevenage coach face at full time of another inevitably fractious game.
