No sportsman, in any sport can perform well without some level of confidence.
Our players last night look to have had their confidence shot to bits.
Harrison a year ago was outstanding, now can hardly get a game.
Duckworth, not the player he was a year ago.
Grey, started with us brightly but gone off.
Mandron, the same
Carroll, the same
Bingham, the same
Oates, the same
Hopefully his goal last night will help Fenwick.
The lack of confidence throughout the team was there to see last night.
How has that happened? Players don't want to play badly but when you're scared of failure your mindset changes. Get rid of the ball quickly. Snatch at shots, don't take defenders on. Hoof it into nowhere.
The midfield and attack badly need an injection of confidence. Not someone to blame them when things don't go well. Are Moore and Collins the men to turn this round? The crowd so far have been supportive but began to turn last night.
We need someone to come in and work with these players before it's too late.

We don't score enough goals, we look petrified because we know as soon as we concede we'll lose. How much better did we play after the first goal last night?

Low on confidence against lowly non league. Beggars belief.

If Hignett is out of work why not get him in short term as forwards coach on a temporary contract. Nothing to lose.
