Ive felt so angry and sick to the stomach watching us win.

Every player in the 7th tier looked better and more importantly better organised.

We don't even come close to being a team and the players seemed to have stopped trying for Moore.

In my humble opinion far worse than last season when we at least showed some passion.

I actually said whilst watching that "performance?" even Franks would look good in this side! I really can,t believe I would ever say that. We were that bad.

It would be interesting to see what difference the two Salford managers would make if they took over from Moore!

Least these players cared.

Although they also had a manager who wasn't just lambasting them week in week out and unable to coach them

Bad as last night was, I'll take the win over the way Pools chucked away a lead and folded second half against Blyth Spartans.

The Moore hating has gone to stupid levels when people can claim to be nostalgic for last season's shower of shite. And just for the record, if Pools had carried the way they were headed before Moore was appointed last season, Pools would have gone down however badly Tranmere and Cheltenham finished the season. 3 wins from 20 League games before Moore, 9 from 26 after.

That doesn't explain or excuse how poor Pools are under Moore and Collins this season. It's bleedin amazing that 4,000 Pools fans turned out on a wet Tuesday night for a cup replay against a non-league team. In today's Fail Moore sounds like he is getting his excuses in early for the Plymouth game - apparently there'll be a lot of tired legs after 120 minutes last night and getting the run around at Pompey.

Not good enough! Pick a team and a formation that will battle for a result. Drop Bingham, Carroll, Oates and anyone else who is blatantly 'low on confidence' and try somebody else! On last night's showing, I'd give Connor Smith and Scott Harrison a start - at least they looked up for it.

WHAT?!? banghead stpid

Other than the victory there is nothing in last night's game even slightly close to being better than the Blyth loss.
Ok the history books will only remember the result but at least we turned up for some of the game against Blyth, last night only pure luck got us through to extra time. Did we even get in their box during 90 minutes? They had us on the ropes most of the game. Blyth hit us on the break and a couple of individual mistakes lead to their goals. We were bottom of the league by some distance and STILL look more capable and confident than we do now.

So you basically saying you'd take a defeat over a victory?

How very bizzare.

A couple of individual mistakes? We were dire in the second half against Blyth.

And Salford spent pretty much the whole game shooting from disrtance. How many times did they get a shot off in the box?

"a couple of individual mistakes lead to their goals." I stand by what I said.

Against Blyth both of their goals came from outside the area, maybe Tree might have a suggestion why both went in?

Does it make a difference? Derby will do to us what we should have done to Salford.

I was less embarrassed by the Blyth defeat than both Salford games.

I wasn't.

We should have won the first game and even though we stunk the place out last night we won. Cup Ties are only really about progression.

Nobody outside of Hartlepool or Salford will remember this game because we won, the Blyth game is mentioned frequently because we lost.

I don't care about who else remembers it, I was embarrassed by our team's lack of effort and ability last night. That will stick in my memory how bad we were last night. I've never seen a team so pathetic.

Not at all but the victory is a very hollow one that disguises an ineptitude the club needs to address immediately. The great escape was so called as it doesn't happen often, if we don't sort ourselves out we could be the Tranmere/Cheltenham of this season.

Tell me you are happy with the win, to me it feels like a defeat.

Pools played some decent stuff in the first half against Blyth and should have been a couple of goals in front at half time. Which made the abject surrender of the second half that much harder to bear.

The second half last night was possibly worse in terms of the lack of creativity, but at least the defence battled and kept us in the game.

And I wonder how many of the 22 fouls given against Pools by Mr Fisher (from, you guessed it, Lancashire) were in the second half? It did feel like Pools were playing 12 men at that point - he didn't penalize any of Salford's blatant holding and shoving when they were defending.

Bad pitch.

If we play like that against league opposition is anyone under any misconceptions about what the result would be?

Can't see Ronnie being with us for much longer....he's too old/set in his ways/clueless. We've sacked 'managers' because we were only a mid table league one side...infact we have got rid of some very good one's !
