He was absolutely dire when he came on last night.

Getting caught on the ball by part time players in extra time because everything he's doing is just too slow. They should have sent him to work with the lad Lynch who played right back for them who was in at 6am this morning after putting every ounce of body into that game he could barely stand up by the end. He needs a rocket up his arse like a few others.

I was going to post this but then I thought "I really cant be arsed arguing with PJ about him again who will no doubt defend him" so I didnt bother.

Fair play though PJ, he was awful and in surroundings he should prosper, constantly on his heels and couldnt control the ball yet again. Good cross for the goal mind but I have a feeling he only crossed it as it went through his legs and he ended up facing that way, otherwise he would have headed for the corner flag like when we had a 3 v1.

I've said it on a few occasions, in walkers "good" season a couple of years ago, was simon Walton a bit of an unsung hero in allowing walker to show his attributes?

Were is Jonny Rowell now .watching that video .he certainly knows how to pass a ball.

Seems a bit of a mystery. His wikipedia page says he's playing for Waasland-Beveren but he's not listed on their squad page. He's also deleted his Twitter at some point so no hints from that either.

Found a cached page of his Twitter and it looks like he left them in May. No idea if he's still playing somewhere but google has turned up nowt so far.

Have to say I'm a big fan of the Belgian league but as far as I'm aware he is still without a club

No.

Walton is one of many players who some hold in high esteem than necessary since they left because their replacements have been shite. Walton was shite and an awful professional

Not sure I've defended his performances or suggested he's been any good for the last 18 months, I've just tried to ask why and disagreed with people saying he's totally shite and needs scattering as he's still a kid really and a couple of years ago he looked exceptional. Not sure why you'd think I'd disagree with something that was blatantly obvious, I have never once said he's played well.

I think he is only 26, I always thought he looked good but I believe he fell out with Turner, after watching the video we should be finding out what he is and resigning him !

Totally agree. Need a campaign to get him back. Absolute lunacy to let a player like this go.

I think the writing was on the wall for Johnny Rowell once he dethroned Ritchie Humphries as keepy-uppy King. :naughty:

Surely a big money move to Wolves in January!

I heard of a £500,000 offer from Wolves coming in January - bloke told me on the Mill House Terrace and assured me that he didn't hear it in THroston bookies or from Brian Clough.......

500k you have to snap their hands off. But inevitably it isn't invested Into the team so it's irrelevant how much we receive

£500k my arse.

Wouldn't surprise me if their manager wasn't about to be sacked anyway.

Offering half a million for a player who can't even get any minutes for a shite League 2 side with a midfielder hobbling about for 30 minutes would be the final straw.

What I don't get is why would they take a risk shelling out any amount of money on a player who can't hold down a regular place in a struggling league 2 team ? Surely take him on loan for a month or two ( can't see us objecting to that ) ? Unless there's something in the FA regs to prevent ?
Would take £500K, like !

Think we be lucky to scrape 50000 based on appearances and maybe bit of compensation for pools. 500000 and cant get in our team? More chance of seeing Santa coming down the chimney than getting any sort of decent sum.
