I feel as though there's no point in living on hope because it's apparent that the outlook is rather bleak. I do really fear for our league status even at this early stage and now it's all starting to look a bit of a shambles.
It's at the managers door to sort out, but I don't see it being sorted, sorry, but it's looking like time for a complete change and I mean complete. A new start, because this is just unacceptable.

I can't understand how a manager with Moores experience can not see with a midfield two of Gray and Featherstone we wouldn't be totally over ran? Second to every loose ball and lost every 50/50.

Almost like he wants to be sacked.

I actually think that is one of the most inept 90 minutes from a Pools team I've ever seen, about half the team didn't want the ball, yes I know the crowd had well and truly turned but we've been unbelievably patient to this point. The team are a bunch of fannies. One of the few who wanted the ball was Fenwick, yes I know he might not be Pele but at least he was brave enough to want the ball.

The team was totally wrong, to field such a lightweight inexperienced midfield against a fully committed, quite dirty at times, totally up for it non league team was baffling. We all said this before a ball was kicked tonight, you could see where we were going to have problems. Young Gray barely had a chance to cross the half way line. Featherstone goes missing for long periods, like the entire second half for example but I don't really think it was his fault. To persist playing 4-4-2 all night was like he wanted to go out.

Why do we continue to play right footed players on the left? Connor Smith was always going to cut across the pitch on his right foot. Surely you are looking to stretch and get in behind a team like that?

Not sure whats happened to the likes of Bingham, I know he's not been scoring but his general play was really poor tonight his confidence like a few others looks shot.

The night was summed up when Carroll (who must have something really big over Moore to play every game) turned and ran away with his head down when Carson shaped to throw him the ball second half. Carson went mental with him and rightly so, but as I said at the time he's not wanted the ball all season so he wasn't going to want it then when the crowd are on the teams back. I wish Carson was an outfield player as he's one of the few with the mentality we need, he looks like he cares for a start.

Saying that defensively I never really thought they were going to score, maybe more through luck than judgement because they looked like they never thought they were going to either. Jackson I thought was average tonight, the amount of stupid free kicks he gave away challenging for balls he was never going to win in areas he didn't need to win them. The ref was shite as well, he was that biased at times I thought he worked for the BBC. I'm sure I saw him sunk on his knees gutted when Mandron scored.

We need a coach and manager, that's the long and short of it.

I understand that Snowy especially after witnessing the utterly staggering shite we have tonight, but if Moore goes and the rest behind the scenes don't then I don't see any point of yet again, of just changing the manager. It's what always happens at Pools.

Things need to change football wise from top to bottom at the club. It's just not good enough and it hasn't been for a long time.

We should start by getting our players to do some training. Based on that tonight they can't do any during the week.

People are suggesting our superior fitness got us through but I dont see it at all.

We were second to every ball for 90 odd minutes.

Then we scored, and it knocked the stuffing out of Salford.

So now people claim we were fitter.

Where we fuck.

Actually I did say coaches to go as well. Moore came in like the Lone Ranger, adopting the sitting tenants on the coaching side which is a continuation of the old IOR policy.
I'd like to see a manager arrive with his own backroom staff for a change.
When is this farce going to end..... the 2-0 win has just papered over the cracks and prolonged the agony.

What I find alarming is how players arrive and look promising ... but after a week of Ron and Sams patent coaching system, their promise evaporates visibly and only the shell of the players is left. The neutron bombs of coaching, no sign of visible damage but it's well and truly f****d up.

Me and the missus were embarrassed that we won. I applauded the first goal, but only briefly. Since watching pools since 1960, this was one of the most inept displays I have seen. If Salford had got what they deserved, a win, then I am sure Moore would have to have been sacked. But now we will have to endure another few insipid performances before the inevitable happens before it's too late. I realise Ronnie 'saved' us last season, no doubt BUT I think there was an awful lot of good fortune about it, in particular the extremely bad performances from the teams around us, tranmere and Cheltenham. I am staggered that we are so piss poor. This 'team' is ronnies and we were well and truly outplayed, out fought and e very other out for the whole game. We we very very lucky tonight, I think Derby will be shitting themselves over this

What puzzles me is what goes on in coaching duting the week, because I never see any vaguely recognisable organisation to how we play... it's as though the entire week is spent on fitness and what counts as tactics, set pieces etc is left to personal choice on the day. I've heard of going out and expressing yourself, but come on. I can see more organisation on the Rec on a Sunday morning.

The only reason we looked fitter in extra time is because we did fuck all in the first 90 mins.

This sums it up nicely for me. I can accept players playing badly or being low on confidence, but the lack of an obvious game plan is extremely worrying.

Based on a comment above and the general consensus that Ronnie saved us last season, I've said this before how much was really down to him? We were only 6 points adrift when he took over in December and we had that one good month helped by a couple of quality loan signings like Tish and Mirfin (who had been looked at by Murray prior to Moore joining).

Before and after that month where we had 3 wins and a draw we were pretty piss poor under Moore but he had the excuse it wasn't his team

What sums it up for me you have richards as our covering RB for ducky so ducky gets injured so he plays magnay there and totally fucks our midfield.
In any team your midfield is the engine and if they dont win and play the ball chances are we wont score goals.
I dont wonder when i see his tactics looking at it from the opposing managers point of view they must think its xmas every week and we wonder why we get played of the park week in week out.
A Fucking blind man can see what is going wrong..................

Either Sam or Ronnie should spend the first half on Saturday sat at the top of the stand so they can actually the game and lack of shape the team actually has.

The players do seem to lack ideas, creativity and most of all ... bottle. The manager slates his players performances in public and yet they don't seem to want to play. Has he lost the dressing room?

Now yes he was in charge and kept us up last season, but as mentioned, the poor sides around us helped, along with some quality signings of mirfin, tish etc.

At one point last night we'd won a free kick just inside our half, and two of our players ran past the ball who I thought would take it, then Bates came up to run past it also realised he was the last man then went back to take it, he then squirmed it straight up the right wing and out for a goal kick.
Surely the coaches state if we have a free kick in this area 'you' take it, or are they too busy on a pub lunch around Durham City.
