Just thought it was worth a mention considering a couple of goals were scored in it.

Extra time that we were more than fortunate to be able to reach. Salford did not deserve to lose that game, Pools as a club need to watch that game back. The chairman can talk about raising the commercial side of the club but who'd invest in that shite? The manager couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery and the players on the whole were pathetic.

Just noticed Ronnie's comment of 'it took us 45 minutes to get going.' Quite astonishing if he believes we were better second half!

We were staggeringly dog shit first half but even worse second half I can't even find an adjective for how bad we were. I've been going to Pools for 27 years and it's about as bad as I've ever seen.

It was terrible and what concerns me more is the post match interviews. We were rubbish, the players are rubbish, they let me down, they need to look at themselves. Translation: its not my fault, its theirs.

I have been critical in the past of some of the Lord Haw Haw stuff but to publically denigrate your staff all the time does nothing for morale. From what I see I don't think our players lack for technical ability but they do lack in tactics and motivation. Maybe they don't believe in the way things are done.

People got over excited about the survival last season which was due in no small part to the implosion of Cheltenham and Tranmere. We were just slightly less shite. We have that four game run but that aside we were hardly better than them.

Thanks Ron but I think your time has passed mate. I have come down on the side of Hignett managerial appointment.

Its obvious Moores lost the dressing room and with 2 and a half years left on his contract this could be disastrous.

The fans need to grief him to RESIGN.
Hes lost the plot big style!

Ronnie Moore DOES strike me as the type of bloke who would wake up one morning and think "he's right. Howard on the Mill House terrace is right. I'm clueless, I should just retire. He knows more about football than me, I bet he's got more contacts as well"

Yeah, okay then pal. Bet you couldn't even be arsed to give IOR that much grief while they were running the club into the ground

He's a flawed man and so are his tactics, but he wasn't the one playing a ball 20 yards behind/ahead/to the fucking right of the man he was aiming for last night was he? Or did he come on in the second half because I didn't see it?

The club's a mess. What's Higgy going to do? Get us the odd boro loanee like Cooper? It did work well like...

The team's performances and form dropped after Hignett left. May have been coincidence but I think he has something about him. Certain players such as James enjoyed their game more and blossomed during his time here.

I'm not suggesting it would be an instant fix but the player's lack of effort suggests they're not keen on playing for Ronnie, his public shaming of them is probably the cause of that. Hignett is local and keen to prove himself and hopefully feels he owes us a little bit of loyalty after his departure last year.

It's alright being the bubbly joker on the training ground when you're number two, it's a different kettle of fish when you're manager. Who's to say he'll make a good manager? He did well for a short period as number two. Does anyone remember a bloke called Martin Scott? Moore has just signed a contract, I doubt we are thinking about sacking him anytime soon. Maybe bring him back into the backroom staff to work with Moore?

Yes I'm well aware of Scott but who actually expected him to make a good manager? All I ever thought about him was whether he was Barry or Paul.

I'm also aware of José Mourinho who was Bobby Robson's no 2. There's millions of examples of assistants becoming managers both good and bad but what's the point in comparing them to Hignett?

None I'm just saying he has no managerial experience and his style does seem suited to being a number two. By all accounts he is very good on the training ground, maybe that's where he could add something at the minute as like I said the manager is a couple of months into contract so I can't see his sacking being imminent.

I wonder if a recruitment firm would be so short sighted as to give a football manager a long contract that would cost too much for them to sack him.

Higgy was very good with offsetting Cooper who seemed to be like a school teacher and Karanka who is similarly stern. I'm not sure if he is too jovial to be the main man himself

Ronnie's comments are getting tedious- its them not me, we weren't good enough etc.

Whose team is it? Whose coaching them? Whose tactics are they?

We were an absolute disgrace for the majority of the game- Salford probably deserved the win as they out muscled us, bullied us for large portions of the game and showed heart and commitment- they train twice a week FFS are 5 Leagues below us and we struggled.

Ronnie's going nowhere- he has 2 1/2 years pay to get and is no fool-

The two nasty looking fuckers in Salford's dugout would set sparks to some of our so called Pros arses- I was sat behind them-there was passion there-Ronnie showed little but a face like thunder when he nipped out back before the extra time kicked off.

My daughter was watching Newsround before school this morning. Unbelievably they went from that fella on the space station to Pools winning. Have to say, when edited down to two goals, off the back of space travel, we looked f-king awesome!!

Don't know what everyone is worrying about?!

He was the one I read this morning was working 6 till 2, I read this whilst on the same shift in Hartlepool tired as fook because I'd had a late night after it went to extra time. He'd played 120 minutes and at the end he looked so fooked I thought he was about to drop down dead then had to travel back to Salford. It was mentally tiring watching that shite I must add, I was mentally tired and in need of a rest. So we sort of put in the same shift last night and this morning.

I'd imagine he might have done even less than me today, which would have took some doing.

I didn't even see or hear about that, I'm sure it would have been a sight to behold. Just hope it wasn't like this

You've just cheered me up Sussex thanks.

Ronnie Moore is like Pep Guardiola compared to that boss eyed simpleton. Also calling 'Marty' Gray makes him sound like the thick chav he is.
