That's the problem for me. There is clearly some half decent players in the squad, King Ronnie just struggles to get the best out of them. He has no idea how to use a player effectively, he seems to make no effort to find any strengths/weaknesses in our opposition, and we line up in the same way (even if it's a different formation or personnel) every week.

There is no way that a group of professional footballers would ever go to a non league team and sit so deep if it wasn't instructed by the manager. His one tactic this season appears to be 'don't concede' - and we haven't been very good at that.

As Mr Mad says, keeping us on the league last season must count for Moore and buy him the time to get things right. So long as we are not in serious relegation danger then maybe people should be more patient in affording him the time it usually takes to build a decent team. It was never seriously going to be a one season turnaround from complete shite to decent and anybody who expected that needs their head read.

Only the not very bright expected promotion this year, but does it not concern you with his decision making on team selection, formation, subs etc?
Bringing Kudos on as a sub for Oates, playing Fenwick as left winger, sending Hawkins out on loan when he has shown he is better than what we had playing there!

Only he doesn't play Fenwick as a left winger, he plays him left of centre, there's a big difference. We should have won the game easily on Friday, you cant blame the manager for forwards missing sitters.

But you have to trust the manager's decisions sometimes if he has earned that trust. Even if you don't agree with them all. I think he earned that trust last season so unless we end up deep in the shit then he needs to be allowed to get on with it. He sees the players in training every day and has a lot of experience as a football manager. We don't and haven't.

let's be honest here, it's a combination. poor coaching, poor management and poor players.

however, ronnie has either signed, or given new contracts to all the players he is playing now. Are we really that much better! I know its difficult and to be honest finishing lower mid table isn't much to ask and not unrealistic in what is overall a poor division.

It's the complete lack of creativity, tactical nous and general boring football we have become accepting of because we are 'little old hartlepool' and 'had plenty of overachieving' in past season. We have generally become accepting of mediocrity.

Onto moore more though, and how many people here would generally want to put any effort in at work when your boss consistently slaughters you in public, and i presume in private. The guy is so old fashioned its untrue and threatening them with losing their jobs as footballers last season worked for a time, but you can see this year it's probably the complete opposite. You can't just blame players week in and week out without accepting some of the blame yourself.

Strange way to try and get the best out of the players by constantly slagging them off.
Sounds like hes losing the dressing room.
He retained the players he wanted and brought his own signings in.

11 points from the last 16 games sugest hes not very good at his job.

I think Coxhall dived in to early giving him a longish contract.
Time will tell!
