I'm looking to get my 12 year old daughter a tablet for Christmas. Anyone got any recommendations? She only needs it to play games nothing to complicated. She uses her sisters hudl at the moment so was going to get her one of them but just seen an advert for amazon tablet which is half the price.

The tablets that the doctor gives you are shit for playing games on

I find the Amazon fire too heavy. Samsung Galaxy tabs are well proven.

My kids have Acer ones, they are ideal for the games that they play. Similiar to this one

Not sure whether they're kicking about still or not. But the Huddle that Tesco made is ok.

As is the Google Nexus 7. Should be able to get one of those for a decent price too

Look on wowcher, got a 10 inch one for 60 bar and for the kids it is crackin, my boy plays games and gets his school online work books etc.

I Would not buy a hudle I had a hudle one pile of shite, they replaced it with another still shite. they had problems with them and kept it quite Apparently. the hudle two has had problems as well Apparently, and in my opinion give it a miss.

OH by the way did I mention that Hudles are Shite in my opinion.

Teenagers yes, kids no in my opinion. Reason is my missus kids 9 and 7 have these and just want to play on them all the dam time. First thing one of them asked me when they saw my ipad for work was can I have a go and what games do you have? I said none and use it for work they looked at me as though i was mad. I then made them play games with my daughter.

Nowt wrong with kids having this stuff so long as you limit the time that they can play on them.
