We're in the hat for the third round of the cup, plenty of League clubs aren't. Compared to Notts County first round we played like Real Madrid tonight.

Mandron can't actually run. he looks like they took his callipers off especially for the game.

Surely our level should be a striker who has neuromuscular junctions that work!

A worry would be watching football at shitholes like that every week after going our business and playing in the Northern League my Tarmac peddling friend.

What a shithole salfords ground was Billingham towns ground is by far much better in fact they shouldn't be allowed in the f a cup , the away end just grass unless you got to the front you didn't have a decent view of pitch unless you improvised and stood right at the back in front of the burger van a good job it wasn't raining as then it would have been dangerous as walking wasn't the best anyway

It's great that Pools are entertaining the watching millions on TV week after week, as well as of course coining it in. Let's all hope BT see sense and televise the reply the watching public will demand it.

You should have seen it the season before the Nevilles got involved, believe me it has improved since! It isn't up to standard for their current level so I believe and definitely not for the level up. If and when they do go up they will have to spend some big money to get it up to standard. It really isn't suitable for crowds over 1000 without being borderline on health and safety.

Who gives a shit about Notts County it's just a stupid comment which means nowt and why do you think this adds anything to the discussion?

Why do we compare it to Notts county? They were absolutely shit, and so were we but managed to scrape a draw as we played better than them. Doesn't make us a better team and the league table generally doesn't lie.

1 off performances are not particularly good to judge a team and so far they have been better than us. We need to get past this acceptance of absolute mediocrity because other clubs have done same/worse in same/similar scenarios

Mandron is easily one of the worst footballers I have seen. I watched the Orient game and the match on Friday and he is utterly useless, can't believe he's still on an EPL teams books. Bingham, although far from the finished article and missed a sitter, at least put himself about and showed far more footballing ability.

Salford's home form 'in the league' is shite, their away form is excellent, only lost twice.

We weren't very good at but I still thought we were the better team second half and really should have won the game, we missed two chances that any of us would stuck away and once Mandron went off and we started playing with 11 men I thought we controlled the game.

We just can't take our chances some of the opportunities we've missed this season have been unbelievable.

It was Bingham summed up in that 45 minutes, actually football wise the best player on the pitch but he misses an open goal. He finishing must have become a mental thing now and that's why it's degenerated to the level it's at. I reckon if he'd even stuck half of the good chances he's missed this season he'd be on double figures.

When do we ever look dangerous from a set piece?

i wonder if we ever practice stuff like that, when we have a corner, we rarely have somebody coming in from the back post and invariably it bloody ends up there banghead

Didn't we score one like that earlier in the season, I'm fairly sure Magnay was round the back and headed it back across for Harrison to score sctatchinghead

Chip Fireball thinks "At no point whatsoever did we look like losing tonight."

Well if Poole's very close effort had gone in we would not be looking forward to a game against Derby.
Incidentally for me, Poole looked a more effective player than most of our lot and we sacked him!

Of what are you talking, Krap? Poole's shot was at least in the general direction of the goal; Fenwick's header was a clearance.

But in general you are spot on - Pools had way better chances. And JP wasn't 'sacked' - Russ made him an offer he found easy to refuse. And if he was still up here, what fun we'd be having with that hairdo!

poole was very poor on friday.....summed up by the chance he had to play their striker in from the half way line and spooned it straight out of play. he had that free kick and that was about it.

We were poor but in no way did salford batter us....as pointed out they had lot of danger from set pieces (cos we are shit at them) but we created the most clear cut chances and would have won by a couple if taken them

Did he? Looked to me as if there was a fair enough gap between Carson's hands and the post, for the ball to have have slipped through.
