5/1? I will be having a bit of that, I think 3/1 would be generous but fives is excellent. There isn't an outstanding team in this division

Game over as soon as Magnay off. Lost the midfield completely.

Can't disagree. Thought we played well overall and we're unlucky not to get something from the game

played well today finally playing with 451 However then magnay went off everything caved in and to take gray of to go 442 sums it up for the last 20 minutes.
Lets just hope he stays 451 for salford if he goes 442........................

Yep, pretty clear just how important Magnay is for us. First half was excellent, and we had our moments second half too. Difference between the teams was they had a lad up top who could finish, we didn't. I had no faith in Mandron when he went through one on one. He doesn't look a goalscorer to me.

One positive though is that Moore finally realised we have to play 5 in midfield, and we looked much better for it. Unfortunately, his subs were that of a mental person. Fair enough Oates had a poor game, but Gray was heavily involved in everything we did well going forward and it was absolutely ridiculous that he was taken off. Especially for Oyenuga too.

Game changed when Magnay went off, first half was one of the best I've seen us play in a long time. Think we are missing Paynter, Mandron looks quite lightweight and didn't look confident at all when he had that one on one.

The ref was fucking awful, I know it's an easy option blaming the ref but he was utter garbish. The clueless bastard didn't even realise it was a pass back until the players and crowd got on his back.

Also, was really not impressed with Carroll today. He seems like he should have all the attributes to be a decent player. Athletic and not a bad footballer on the ball, but defensively he is awful, and very naive too. Had to flatten their lad when he went through and put the cross in. Just take the yellow.

Can't single Carroll out for the not taking yellow card. As a team we are too soft and shit scared of just essentially hacking someone down to prevent an attack and taking the yellow card.

It's been that way for about a decade now

Everything was bubbling along nicely .... then the substitution was made, followed by a series of substitutions that leads me to question the managers sanity. Any further comment is superfluous. Oh dear.

I think te score flattered Oxford quite a bit, I think we totally deserves something out of this game. Mandron when he was through should have squared it to Magnay and we would have been 1 up. Our left side was pretty poor today and most of their breaks came through defensive errors from either Oates or Carroll.

I like all was baffled with taking off Gray but apparently he had a calf strain and we didn't want to risk him any longer.

The game was there for the taking today, Carson, Bates and Featherstone all had a good game in my opinion. Magnay holds the team together though.

Ronnie said Walker should have took the foul before there goal, yes he'd have been sent off but the ball wouldn't have been in our net. He also said the only thing the ref got right waving on the physio for Magnay.

We played a lot better, didn't deserve to lose but could possibly more damaging than last week seeing how dejected some of the players were on the floor at the end. Mandron is very good at holding the ball up, doesn't seem a goal scorer so its a case of others feeding off him. A shame Gray didn't have the couldn't last the match or get a chance like that of Mandron but it was better.

Lets hope we can play the same next week, batter them and get some confidence in front of goal. Not sure which of the loan players can play next week; Naismith is cup tied and I'm not sure about Mandron.

Even near the end when they were trying to time waste and the ball went out of play, it clearly hit off one of the Oxford players, even the Oxford lad knew as he started running back then this clueless bastard gave them a throw in. The first yellow card was a joke, hardly a foul never mind a yellow.

Heard someone say he's lost a couple of teeth so hopefully he's ok for next week.

We were unlucky to lose that game today we had created all of the chances until Oxford's goal which was a moment of real quality.

Daft substitutions though why would hook Gray for Kudus?

Bates and Jackson were very good again, Carson fucked up a couple of times today but I like him more every game, good keeper.

Three things I'll never know after that match;

1) how we managed to lose
2) how, on that showing, Oxford are 2nd/top
3) how the officials have the required qualifications to officiate at any level

Mandron really, really should've scored or if he wasn't certain of burying the chance, squared it for Magnay. I've kept quiet on Mandron because it seems he's well liked on here but for me he looks like a decent player without actually doing anything. I don't dislike the fella at all just not 100% sure on what he gives us.

I like Ron and I can't think of anyone else I'd sooner be in charge right now but I couldn't understand why he took Oates and Gray off...thought they were both playing well. Oates works his bollocks off every time I see him and Gray is just quality.

I did think though that we played really well overall which is why I'm so gutted we didn't get at least a point.

This game reminded me of Fleetwood at home the season they went up. There really was bugger all between us and them and yet they beat us and went up, Oxford were the same.

Carsons Lightning reflexes mean even if he does drop anything, he generally is first to it anyway. Very good keeper.

Glad we don't have a keeper who has conceded 11 in 2 and been on losing side about 8 games in a row.

Carson is a quality keeper.
Had a conversation with PARMO wed nite and today.
He said if Flinders was still our keeper we wouldent be 8 points clear of safety.
Only a troll would disagree.

It came down to two chances. Ours, Mandron clean through, bottled it. Theirs, put in the corner.

We were the better team by far in the first half.

Dunno about fucking up, must have missed that, but Carson pulled off two absolutely top class saves today.

If there's a better keeper in this division I've yet to see him.

One of them was directly before one of bravest bits of keeping I've ever seen when he spilled a shot he should have held, other was the cross he tipped onto the bar that he tried to put over but the cross had already gone out of play he thanked the linesman for putting his flag up. He spilled another shot as well which he was beating himself up about. He's a superb keeper though.

Their goal came from our corner, four passes and goal.

I was only half listening at the time but on the radio I'm sure Ronnie said he couldn't see out of his eye.

No disgrace losing to them today, I thought they were a very good side, the No.9, No.4 and No.8 all quality players. We played as well as I've seen us play this season. Not only the one on one but Gray hit the bar, Magnay headed just wide, several other shots shaved the posts, even Walker had two good efforts late on, we were unlucky, also yet another ref who seemed keen to give the away team at the Vic' a helping hand.......wonder why that generally seems to be the case or is it that the coconut creams on arrival aren't from M&S?
Oh and Magnays was an eye injury, according to Ronnie on Tees after the game, it was probably the ref poked him in it he was pointing towards our goal that much.
