..and CEO Russ Green will be attending the HUFC Supporters Trust Launch Party this evening in The Corner Flag, 7;30pm.

Great News.

BTW, the Pools Quiz is a CORKER!!! (even for those young 'uns whose Pools knowledge pre 1994 is shaky!)

Get yourselves along and see what its all about!

Bit of a trek for me but I'll be there in spirit. I did tell my oldest that she had to attend with a tablet strapped to her face so I could Skype attend but she didn't seem keen.

Looking forward to hear what the chairman n CEO have to say.
Heard Russ Greens patter is brilliant!

Hopefully this is the start of better communication between the club and its fans and a few more join the Trust.

The Trust was well presented by the two Spokesman.
Obviously a lot of hard work gone into getting it up and running which will become a benefit to everyone who wants the best for our club.

Obviously the chairman told us what we want to here.
Only time will tell whether his ambitions are genuine.

Can only agree with chip and mutely entirely. Coxall was bang on with that jumper, as a man of fashion myself (cardigan and denim shirt combo last night, Obvs) the shumper coxall had on (shirt jumper) is a winter essential.

With all due respect to your own sartorial choice, which sounds appropriately casual without going down the sportswear route, I'm concerned to hear about Coxhall's shumper which is a winter outrage. The whole point of a shirt under a jumper is it keeps you warm but if you go indoors, lets say into a pub with a roaring open fire, you can shed a layer.

The shumper leaves you colder than you like when outside and sweating like a pig when inside. Worst of both worlds, so you have to question his integrity on all other matters.

Not yet.

But he did say any money coming into the club stays in the club.

Also the club will deal with agents, if the right player is available.

Get the impression their is no set budget for January, just a lets identify targets n see if we can get them mind set.

Chip I bought a Duchamp tie online the other day for £45. I trust these are as good quality as the socks?

The raffle was fair..I had a low number and won.. (wife's Xmas present sorted)..also we were robbed in the quiz for not being older than gods dog...eh chip. Good night tho and a lot to look forward too..Gary is definitely hands on and willing to listen which is what us fans want to hear.

If true this would be most excellent. I might even move house so I'm closer to it.

It is 100% correct.

For me the evening was very interesting. Disappointed that the attendance wasn't great but I guess it was a horrible night and its difficult to travel a couple of miles. It's also coming up to Christmas and a couple of pints in the Corner Flag would break most people's bank. For me this is where the town needs to shape up in many many respects. Everyone complains about everything but won't get off their arse. Some people would have loved to have been there but had commitments they couldn't get out of - fair enough.

Nevertheless it was a successful night. The people who were there are committed. These are the core people who will do something.

After the presentation which consisted of the journey to where we are now and the way forward, which I thought was wonderfully done. I felt a gentle warmth all over. That bloke who did the presentation is fantastic and a sex god apparently.

Some good questions form the floor and then came the invite to Gary Coxall to say a few words. It wasn't an ambush and it wasn't hostile. There were many good questions which were answered very directly and honestly by Gary. Some direct ones such as "is Hodcroft still involved" A categorically no. The ground ownership was discussed and again, answered directly. The jumper was appaling although I did notice a couple of other terrible fashion choices in the room. Hartlepool has never rivallled Milan and Paris to be fair.

Then an excellent quiz (fixed) and a raffle (also fixed) I won neither!

Overall the great thing that came out of the night was the old dark days are over. Ken Jong Il has moved on and the Stasi has been banished. Mark Simpson is able to cast off the Lord Haw Haw persona and say a games shit when it is. Seriously, Pools has changed for the better and the doors are open.

The club is open to a new relationship with the fans and community and that can only be a good thing.

Successful night all round. Fair play to Coxall for attending too, fair journey to make on a cold windy Wednesday night.

Fair point. Only the committed or committable would have driven that far!

I liked the brogues on coxall, as a brogue wearer myself, for work n formal occasions, i thought they looked nice.

He asked me in the bogs where i got my cardigan from, and wished he had wore his glasses after seeing how good mine looked, it's good that he's identified the right people to talk to regarding clothing.

I think we're off to the metro next sunday for a shopping trip.

Definitely has an eye for style, and good patter, he can hold a room, tell a joke, answer properly, and even sounds a bit like joe cole.

At least he speaks to the fans and doesnt bang on about FFP at every opportunity. I like a nice dressed man shows he takes time in planning stuff. Did he smell nice?

Everything sounds extremely positive but in this area Uncle Ken in his full Alan Partridge regalia still reigns supreme.

So given the tripe being spouted elsewhere, some Pools supporters must be spitting feathers that the main men from the club attended and have been positive about it today on the official website and on Twitter?

I can totally understand your frustration about the turnout after all of the work you've put in but I'm not sure your comments are helpful when you are trying to increase membership.

If the club were in administration or being ran by obvious dodge pots then you'd expect it grow rapidly and a meeting to be packed to the rafters. As things are I'd imagine it will steadily build over a number of years. I fully intend to be a member but I haven't got round to it yet. Not an excuse but I've got loads going on with work and family so it's not at the top of my list of priorities right now. I would have loved to have been there last night but I was at work, the night sounded a success and very positive. I'm sure lots support the concept like me and will in time be a part of it. But comments like that are only going a) get people's backs up and b) add fuel to the trouble causing fews fire.

It's not about where it is now in its infancy it's about its strength in years to come.
