You would hate it Tree. You have to book a table in advance for KFC.

True. Everything is better now. Over the last 24 months the town has become a northern powerhouse with jobs for all, top end shopping and plenty of top notch restaurants. Good to see pools knocking on the door of the Championship too.

My daughter lived in London and has now moved near Bognor Regis, I nearly moved there myself but had second thoughts, pleased I did after several visits, full of foreigners and very expensive. You can't beat the people of the village of Hartlepool.
I find southerners are 'all fur coat and no knickers'

That phrase always makes me think of Joan Collins in her mid-seventies prime.

"On the plus side at least theres no foreigners."

Wait...I saw a foreigner last time I was in town. He was selling lollipops and newspapers in a shop in Murray Street. I saw at once, from his sneaky brown face, that the business was just a front behind which to hide jihadist tendencies.

If you ask for an ounce of Golden Virginia he recognises the internationally acknowledged code and gives you a fully made up suicide vest. He keeps them out the back behind the boxes of unsold Tudor crisps that have been there since 1973.

Wouldn't want my kids moving down South, meeting nice people and making absurdly large amounts of money, no, let them stay here and struggle like their forebears. You have to be careful you know, mixing with all that 'Kensington/Chelsea' types, next they'll be wanting to set up a neighbourhood watch, putting cakes in the village fair and forming complete sentences........madness.

It doesnt make it factually incorrect though.

Only difference between then and now, is more firms have shut down and there's less jobs.

On the plus side at least theres no foreigners.

Some nig nogs are ok though, ones who delivery traditional English food, such as Kebabs n parmos, female ones who look attractive and perhaps a few who work at the doctors
