The reason for Pools downturn in form over the past few years iis down to me.
I always took extra strong mints to the match but in 2011 I switched to chewing gum.
Tomorrow I'm back on the hard stuff.

This isn't really scientific enough. What we need to know is what Snowy was chewing much further back.....2003, say.

Pools have been shite for most of my life supporting them... I found shite interspersed with the odd bright spell perfectly acceptable, hence my now laid back attitude to dross.

I can break down my dietary needs during the match as being.....

1967 to 84...anything edible.

1984 to 92... anything the kids brought, fruit polo's were a favourite.

1992 to 2000 ...Army and Navy tablets.

2000 to 2002 ...Fishermens Friends.

2002 to 2011... Extra strong mints.

Mr Snow's Naval background is reason enough not to delve into this subject too much further.

Mr Snowy I'm nervous about you going straight back in with the extra strong, I'm not sure it'll work. How about back to the army navy then ease back up to the glory years.

Not sure we have the midfield for extra strong mints. I think we are better than fruit polos though.

Just be careful, it's a big responsibilty

It's too late tim, the mints are out of their protective covers, it's a three pack and the wife is arming them in the dining room,. I'm going nuclear!

I'm not convinced it's the mints that did it. The worry is that some years Snowy was eating more than one confection. This makes it difficult to trace cause and effect with any degree of certainty.

Was it the polos or was it the army and navy tablets?....perhaps we should contact Mark Tinkler and he'll tell us the names of the sweetie aromas he detected wafting his way at the time.

Better have another couple.
