Can anyone really see us beating Cheltenham after this run of performances, they beat Grimsby the other night. I have not missed an FA cup game at home for 36 years, but I am tempted.

Cheltenham released most players and signed a new squad for new season a very hard national league at present they lay second very close to top what a start to season they must be playing well full of confidence and they meet us in f a cup , they must be favourites and deservedly so , at present would you bet on us against a Sunday league team

on the note of the National league and the Quality in it, I think it should be 4 up and 4 down from league two, 3 automatic and one via playoff. yes we might go the journey but we would have a chance if 4 came up...sometime in the future!!!

Just checked the odds, Cheltenham are 2/1. After watching that utter wank yesterday I'm lumping on.

I really don't see much evidence of this 'quality' in the last few years. Most of the relegated teams do well, and the promoted teams seem to be around us in the table and I certainly wouldn't associate us with quality! It's competitive but I reckon two up two down is about right. I imagine some of the football at that level is brutal, let's be honest it's not very good in League Two.

I'm not a gambling man, but if I was I would put a lot on an away win.

I can imagine the 'FA cup upsets' section on the news featuring our game...only if Pools win.

We already feature in the FA Cup 1st round advert when we got beat off Blyth.

Let's hope and pray we do get through to the 2nd round it's what we need And then the 3rd it's what we all want but I'm sorry to say no wonder our fans are feeling glass half empty or should I say glass empty

Think you're right there Chip but looking at the recent form of both teams and how close we are to them in league positions fills me with dread. Has all the hallmarks of a not even mildly surprising "shock".

Trying not to think too hard about the consequences if we lose on Saturday- would effectively mean our season is over before its really begun.

I hadn't thought about it like that. Changed my mind - I'll be there too. This is one game that Fenwick has to start - he should be in his element.

I'll be there but see the logic with Fenwick? I'm not saying don't start but I'm not sure why he'll be in element, in reality Cheltenham will be similar opposition to what we play most weeks. It's a midfielder we desperately need in to make a difference, getting one that's also allowed to play in the FA Cup could prove more difficult.

We all should be there it's a massive game for our season as a defeat could really knock out end in and send the season into a real nosedive. We haven't won at home since August this is a pivotal game for me.

No nerves whatsoever. Looking forward to the match. We cant possibly play any worse than we have been. Cheltenham probobly favourites no matter what the bookies say. We might just turn up for once and put on a performance. Round 2 here we come. Hows your points deduction coming along? Nervous? Will it be 9 or 12 points?

They are getting a points deduction!?

What for, oversized jumpers? Employing someone as thick as Martin Gray? Sussex's terrible craic?

All worthy of hefty sanction.

They managed to play an illegal player for 5 games or so. Turned up apparently with his boots, no paper work signed got his game and is now a darlo ledgend.

I heard about that. I didn't realise it happened that many times. I thought it was just a one off because Big Phil rang in on the Saturday morning and couldn't play because his missus said he had to look after the kids on the afternoon.

Must have been better than playing for that load of shite if he decided to do it for five weeks.

I'd have thought the sky cameras would have picked it up if someone 30 clem overweight was trying to impersonate the infamous 'part-time Pedro' like.

Nevermind, they can look forward to taking the caravan to Whitby for the weekend again next season.

Got a feeling Fenwick is going to get his chance and take out his frustration of not playing lately on the Cheltenham onion bag.
Our home sickness has to come to an end so round two here we come.
Gutted im missing the game like!
