Must be easy to be a journalist reporting on Pools these days.

*Locate original article from September 2013 "Cooper hoping to land new player by the weekend"

He said this directly after the latest defeat. Am struggling to see why this still hasn't happened. Get him on Monday and give him time to meet team mates would surely be a more sensible and professional approach.

We're waiting for their chairman to agree with what were offering wages wise. It would be nice to not throw strangers directly into the team though

That was my point. Least if they have trained a few times and done well it wouldn't be a possible way to upset players.

I'm very interested to see which players are dropped on Saturday after his words since Saturday.

Bryn Morris cant be on that much as a young kid.

Ronnie cant come out with the usual bollox about there being nobody about who'se better than what we have.

On a sort of seperate note Jonny Franks has become a fuckin legend in my eyes since he left and we replaced him with Kudos and Banton. They make him look like Ronaldo

Franks was limited, and I wasnt at all sad when he left, but he worked his puddings off and scored a few, and he could at least beat a man whilst being in control of the ball. Couldnt ever beat the first man when crossing, but he tried at least.

God it's depressing harking back after players like Franks, and even wishing we had Stan McEwan and Steve Tupling in the team

Franks can barely get a game for Ross County, he's had 7 appearances this season. Think the 7ft 4 Holden has had about 2.

Anyone 'harking back' to Jonothan Franks wants sectioning.

Did you know as a forward/winger he featured in every League game last (that's 46 games folks) and scored in one of them.

Marlon Harewood was like a modern day Dixie Dean in comparison.

An utterly dog shit player, it's pap signings like him which see us where we are now.

It would be a hard shout on Pato Banton to compare him unfavourably to Franks.

I think you may have missed the point.

Franks was utter shit. I said he was limited but worked hard and couldnt cross for love nor money but at least he had a go at goal and indeed scored a few, and by that I mean not many.

The point I am making is that some of the current players, brought in to replace the likes of Franks are not really any better, in fact in Kudos' and Ebby-Nelson's case a damned sight worse, and this is why we are not progressing much from last season.

Possibly harsh on Banton still a lot to prove.

I see Darlo have signed a former Czech Republic U-21 player.

Possibly harsh on the two other lads who we've barely seen yet in first team action.

Franks; pea hearted, tackle bottling, hiding, loser. At least the other two are inexperienced and trying to make a way in the game. Franks signed on decent money and was fucking crap.

Yes, but like I told you before for the 1974 women's Tennis team doesn't really count, even though Martina can still do a job at Darlo's level.

I'm gonna make a guess and say it's Greg Halford from Rotherham!

Good shout, he's 30 and 6ft 4 so fits the criteria Ronnie has been talking about. Only played 5 times this season.

Could be this lad. Halford is one of those who can play in multiple positions, not really excelling in any. Sure his best games at Colchester came as full back though

I thought Moore said he's experienced? That lad has barely played.

To be fair I think Halford should excel in League Two, he's career hasn't hit the heights expected but he's only 30 and played a lot of Championship football. He's not featured for Rotherham at all though since mid September, is he injured?

Looks like a bit of unrest at the club with Halford

The article that Joe Mac has posted pretty much rules out it being him anyway.

He'll be on £10k+ a week for a start!

he mentions experience, but haven't we heard that line before and it comes down to not willing to pay their wages, which are usually a lot higher than inexperienced kids/younger players
