Sad to see someone so talented just completely lose his way. Last night the game completely passed him by and that echoes his performances for the last year. If he cannot cement a place in a struggling league 2 team surely the writing is on the wall. Would love to see him come good but time is running out.

Is he carrying an injury? His running looked uncomfortable last night. Didn't he have a shin splint problem a few years back?

if its not injury related, maybe he needs the treatment boydy got when he returned. punt him out on loan (if we get one or two midfielders in as were weak at the minute. get him away from his comforts and make him realise just how lucky he is

I wouldn't say its the end of him or time is running out as he is only 19 years old. A loan move would be beneficial for him to get a run of games, he does show glimpses of great technical ability but then glimpses of hiding in matches.

He gives me the impression he thinks he is better than he is, he looks lazy on the pitch and uninterested

Hes just an ordinary player who had a purple patch who has now hit a grey patch.
One thing for sure if he dosent take his chances soon Ronnie will have in binned in June.
A few good games for Pools dosent make u a star.
I hope it works out for him n pools but cant see it like.

everyone points to his good spell in his first season, but he's been poor for lot longer than he was good.

he still has the one thing other midfielders we have lack, in an ability to score goals....but he does go missing for ridiculous amounts of a game, and looks to try his hardest to ensure he is always marked by running towards the opposition instead of into space.

it does seem he's let his good start get to him

I think walker and Harrison have been major disapointments. Both living of one good spell. Both have obvious talent yet dont seem to be able to produce it consistently. Maybe if we improve the midfield it will help them become the good players they can be by playing in a better team. Only young lads still lets not hammer them just yet.

Have any have witnessed examples of this poor attitude?

I potentially did one to be fair when he was warming up and laughing with Fenwick after we'd conceding against Luton.

I think between his first season and the start of last he changed physically quite a lot. He shot up and filled out and has never looked like he's grown into his body since. He was more slight of foot and nimble during that first season, now he looks like a big unit, and he's not overweight he's just grown. Could that be a factor rather anything in his head as well?

In they first season he's one of the most promising kids I've seen at Pools, if not the most promising. He looked outstanding at times, I remember a home game against Bristol Rovers when for half an hour nobody could get near him on the ball.

Hopefully he can get back on track before the new full one terrace whipping boy.

Walton was voted Players' Player of the Year just before he got binned, which is a fair indication of his influence. Even then there were a few posting on here saying that he was holding Walker's development back. Ah well, Brad has come on loads since then, hasn't he?

Personally I think Walton was a better footballer than he got credit for on the Bunker - which is actually saying very little as most seem to think he was utter dogshit!

Loan him out to Darlo 1663 or Spennymoor in the cloggers leagues and bring him back when he has manned-up

My comments about Walton don't extend to wanting him back at the club.

For as long as I can remember as a paying fan (Kevin Johnson coming back in 1981) the saying "never go back" has rung true for me - probably because Pools' returnees have always been on the downward slope of their careers when they have come back for a second spell.

Signing players who were on loan with us for a bit (Harrison, Bingham) is a different kettle of fish.

I said in an earlier post that Walton would be a better option . He is a good journeyman pro who was better than the rest of the midfield, not that I wanted him back but that he was the best we had at the time and could put tackle in and was recognised as such by his award.
Of course the usual old Bunker faithfuls screamed he was bobbins and utter dogshit and of course they know it all. They probably believe Walker, Featherstone and Bates are better than him ffs Ah well that's progress for you!!!

If he was really any good he would have found a better club by now, instead of ones similar to Pools. One man's journeyman pro is another man's perpetual bottom rung reject.

The biggest issue surrounding him isn't the fact he is good and was correctly released, it's the fact have we got any better with the replacements.

We must have the worst central midfield in the football league, it's horrendous.

Add on to the other tripe we still have and it shows why we are still a poor team, albeit not as bad as last season.

Having other team cast offs on loan such as magnus and Banton shows how far behind we are. Is Magnus even that good? Apparently unbeatable at Dagenham where I imagine he was up against cureton. Him and Harrison have been bullied all game in the last 2 home games by akinde on Tuesday, and Harold today.

Long season in store yet again!

Recruitment at the club is a disgrace.

Was Baldwin the last player do come to us and actually improve? Luke James arguably but he wasn't as good towards the end of his spell here as was earlier in his career.

Something is massively up with the coaching. Rely on other teams happy for us to either give them game time or pay no wages. Needs investment or we will continually struggle and eventually I imagine go down

Yes but by that time he had scored and his team had won. And we started with Walker and Featherstone in midfield again for fuck's sake!!!
