A brief review of today's game, we didn't play pretty stuff,we played like we wanted to grind out a 1-0 win and I'd have taken that before the game. Carson made a big difference, confident coming for the ball and very vocal. Young hendrie did well considering it was his league debut, solid and kept it simple. Magnus was an absolute colossus, he never missed a header all game and reads the game very well, I'm a big fan of his already! As for the rest I thought Jones, Carroll and Harrison did well but we were weak as piss in the middle, walker is bone idle and Featherstone bottles everything and won't get.stuck in. Paynter and Bingham didn't see much of the ball second half but at least put a good shift in. Fans were cracking.

The weak midfield is a concern we miss Magnay big style.
Will just have to grind out a few results while hes out.
Hopefully Ronnie can find anutha Tishbola maybe Tate works out for us.

Magnus was excellent, he'll be a real fans favourite if he continues like this for the remainder of his loan. Can't see him being with us beyond the month though, Luton must have some squad to send him out on loan to get fit

Was great to see the daggers lump of a centre back coming forward for corners and being towered over by our own monster of a centre back

Carson also made a big difference, not in terms of saves made just his all round presence in the box.

Daggers haven't won a league game at home this season yet and you just know that pools usually like to change those of type stats......

Magnus was immense.

The 60% possession stat to the Daggers understates how long they were camped in our half after the interval - but the defence stood firm - it was a shame, however, that the likes of Featherstone then gave the ball away too easily - does he ever put in a tackle?

Someone has already commented that Walker was lazy - I couldn't comment as he was all but invisible!

The fans were, again, awesome - and it made the arduous tube trip back to KX all the more entertaining....

I found it all a bit worrying. Yes three points but don't underestimate how ineffectual Dagenham were and without someone else player in our defence and D&R's inability to hit the target, things could have been very different. A welcome win and the points more important than the performance but don't get over excited.

A Daggers fan said to me on the way out that 'we (D&R) could and should have won 10 nil' - an extreme view but I struggle to argue with the sentiment of his comment.....

3 points , clean sheet, didn't play that well, ground out the result . I don't find that worrying in the least. Just think if we put it all together what we can do. Okay 2 of the back 5 weren't our players but how often have people on here said we need to use the loan system more and when we do it worrying.

What I find pleasing is that Dagenham were no more effectual than they were last season yet they took 6 points off us.

Who cares a wins a win, we could have scored 10 against Luton yet we came away with nothing and with what looked a stuffing.

The massive positive after our defending recently is the clean sheet. Moore has regcognised that by changing 3 of the back 4 and the keeper, I don't care where he's from it sounds like we've found a the leader and organiser we've lacked at centre back. That goes a long way at this level.

All this negativity a win's a win, come on now we get a scrappy away win and now 2 home games in a row to follow.

What could go wrong?

ok then, the world is full of fluffy bunny rabbits. Two horrendous teams that would have been destroyed by anyone decent. If that makes you confident then rock on.

we've been on an awful run, 2 heavy home defeats. A win, any win, is welcome. Not just for the 3 points, but for the confidence it could bring.

I accept that in fact I said as much. My initial post was in response to people assuming that we have turned a corner and the mention of play offs. The reality is that we were pinned back a lot of the game by a team that were truly awful.

Playoffs? no chance. We are a mid table team, no more, no less.

Why not the full division is cack.
Then an fa cup run could create some funds for January.
I'm getting carried away now but HOPE never dies.

There was an obvious tactic yesterday by pools to nick a goal then shut up shop, we werent trying to be pretty, just stay solid and get men behind the ball, which we did pretty well! Now on tuesday its a different matter as we need to take the game to Barnet.
