Dale Banton used to torture us for Aldershot and York mid-Eighties.

If he is so good why would he be sent out on loan? I can never work out these scenarios! sctatchinghead

BUT! I do hope he can do a job for us, starting tomorrow!

Signed from Plymouth Argyle in the summer, Banton has failed to impress in 4 starts and 3 substitute appearances for the Blues.

Found this on a Wycombe forum. Good to see that he has asked to go out on loan because he wants to play regularly bit less encouraging that see shipping him out as a way of getting some creativity in. Presumably Moore reckons he can get the best out of him - fingers crossed.

"The 22 year-old did score against his former club when Wanderers lost at home to the Pilgrims in September but his contribution has otherwise been peripheral.

Blues' boss Gareth Ainsworth told wwfc: "Jason is still adapting to the way we do things at Wycombe and asked to go out on loan to get regular football. Hartlepool have offered him that opportunity to play regularly, so the move makes sense for everyone."

Wanderers' fans will be hoping Banton's departure paves the way for some fresh blood to be brought in on-loan, with a lack of creativity the most apparent shortage to be addressed."

We are his 9th club and he's already 23, he's a product of the new age youth system that makes stars of players before they even play a game and he was probably earning thousands at liverpool a few year ago and is finding it hard to adjust to not being at that level anymore.

Clearly a player in there, but whether he can fulfill the potential he's clearly had is another thing.

Looks a average signing but with hands as tied as they are its better then nothing. Hopefully he is better than his form suggests

Wouldn't mind another Compton if it was with more consistent good days and less tweeting.

Look he's admitted in the past he's been a clown for messing around but that doesn't mean that he has to leave town.

I imagine he first got interested in the joining the club around the end of last season he probably saw the fancy dress on his colour TV while listening to his CD collection of Bob Marley.

He did well with a few of the loans last season. And I just noticed Paynter has scored another.
