He probably has found his level, but in his day he would rip the piss out of most of todays squad and make them look pub players

He was awesome for us for years. Disrespectful to imply otherwise.

I think Monkhouse was probably the last pools player I enjoyed watching and cared about getting a game.

And its tragic to think a few deemed a donkey like Harewood worth given some sort of legend status to.

Oh to have that front 4 of Brown Porter Boyd and Monkhouse now.

And Michael Barron at the back.

And Humphreys.

Nelson.

Ben Clark is still playing.

Its like the good times never happened.

I couldnt bear to pay to watch the current bunch of fannies.

Never mind having pride in the club, these days they don't seem to have pride in themselves with some of the performances that get put in

But not Humphreys.

Players with some genuine quality, would be brilliant to have a few even approaching those metioned above, not to mention Richie Barker, Eifion Williams and even Marco Gabbiadini did his best for the club in the brief spell he was with us, 7 goals in 18 games, be lucky if we have anyone that gets 7 goals in a season and a half now.

Its like the good times never happened.

Joel Porter, Mark Tinkler, Chris Westwood, Gordon Watson, Adam Boyd, Dimi, the list goes on.

Not sure we have anyone fit to lace the boots these days of any of the players mentioned.

Nothing against Monky but that is his level now.Pity we still dont have him here playing at his peak but years drag on.Like people say our squad looks weaker than it was in Monkys days here.

Grimsby are ten unbeaten and pushing for promotion 'his level' is starting for a better team than us.

That is the worry as Grimsby could and probably would give us a good hiding.

Eifion Willams, Richie Barker, Marco Gabbiadini in his brief spell for us put in a few decent shifts and got 7 goals in 18 games. Think I would even rather have Tony Lormor back than the current lot.

Nearly forgot Shuggie, if only for his murderous free kicks, a skill we've been devoid of for some time.
