Slotted in a nice penner for Crawley on Saturday. Why the hell did we let him go? Featherstone, Woods, Walker, NelsonAbby, Hawkins and Oyenuga. Or Walton. I know who would be my first choice in midfield.

All I remember Walton for was his orange skin, fist pumping and shouting a lot. We are missing a fist pumper after Marlon left, I say bring Walton back.

Just an opinion but anyone who would prefer Walton to Woods must be on medication. Surely?

We need Walton back we were great with him in the team (I have both seasons on DVD) especially the one were we'd have finished bottom of a division for the first time in over 50 years if it wasn't for a points deduction for Portsmouth.

Bring back Walton, bring back those heady days. We need more berating of team mates while you're actually the worst player on the pitch and had covered 10 square yards in front of the centre backs for 90 minutes.

He looked very round. Even his mates joked on Twitter he should just be brought on for pens as he's useless.

Looked 2/3 clem over weight

When Woods can play for more than 50 minutes we may have something. But I aint holding my breath. Walton will do shat no e of our present players do. Kick the opposition players behind the refs backs and get away with it. Unlike the fannies masquerading as midfielders for us ag present. And not doing awfully well.

I think kicking people and risking suspensions is exactly what we need. Its not like our only decent defensive midfielder is missing 9 games through being overly physical or anything.

You could never accuse wavey haired perma tanned Simon Walton of being a fanny, never. He was great at slyly kicking people as well. His key contribution over his two years was his slyness against Morecambe right in front of the ref when he went over the top of the ball. He knew we needed ten men to win that game.

I want Steve Howard back, now is the time.

Walton would walk back into our current midfield.

Not run, just walk.

In Matthew Bates we have an ideal washed up former Premier League star who can't play in 4-4-2 replacement anyway. He does exactly the same job.

I have also seen his erect penis.

The fact that anybody would have Walton back in our midfield means that they think Walton would improve our current midfield.
That tells me that, under RM and with his signings/selections and system, we have moved backwards, or so some people think???
I can't judge personally as I haven't seen Pools play under RM but it is worrying that such a scenario could even be contemplated.
Simon Walton, using Chip's description, was indeed bobbins.

I can think of a few players who have played for us in the last few year who I would happily have back.

Simon Walton would not be on that list.

And our current midfield is the dog's. Yeah right. Walton would walk into our present team and we haven't signed a better midfielder since he left. Nine defeats from the last 11 games shows how well the present lot are doing.

he's probably on par with some of them but that is more an indication of how bad our midfield is and has been for several years.

when was the last time we had a good central midfield partnership; struggling to name an actual pair but willie boland must of been last dependable central midfielder. woods is only one at present

Paul Murray was a cracking midfielder.

Sweeney had his goal scoring moments but not for long.We lack the old sweeney as there is very little goal wise in this midfield.

Nine defeats from the last eleven.............or nine defeats from the last fifteen, which looks a better statistic. Both true.

I'm sorry but I can't get optimistic about this fucking lot. I have my doubts that they can beat the Daggers on Saturday. If we play 4-3-3 we certainly won't turn them over. That pensioner Cureton will probably tear Harrison and Boyce a new arsehole

We won't see how good Magnay is because he is never on the field to show it. Not much use when he is banned all the time. My point about Walton is that he was passionate and could be a dirty fucker without missing nine games at a time. Not a great player but better than most we gave at the moment. Ditto Andy Monkhouse.

Walton was a liability as underlined by his stupid challenge right in front of the referee in a must win game for the club whilst we were 1-0 down. His last act for the club. Wouldn't have him anywhere near the current team either.

Walton was a liability, 17 yellow cards and 3 reds in 2 seasons. If you class doing a fist pump every now and then passion then fair enough but I don't.

My view of Walton is tainted due to witnessing his 'performance' in the 6-1 defeat at Chesterfield. The singular worst performance I've ever seen by a Pools player. Absolutely didn't want to be on the pitch. Didn't break sweat all game.

That aside, he seems like a very limited player at League Two level. He has all the gestures and postures of a good player, but nothing to back it up with. Slow, dirty, ready to blame anyone but himself when things go wrong, happy to dish out bollockings but not able to take them himself.

Anyone will see a lot of the ball playing just in front of the back four, but a half-decent holding midfielder will cover much more of the pitch.

He was an average player in one of the worst Pools sides in the history of the club. The sooner things pick up and he becomes a distant memory the better.

Not sure how you can call behaviour you haven't seen 'ridiculous' We still don't fully know what happened. The original sending off he served three games for looked harsh.

It's like you're intentionally on the wind up across various forums just like the 'henry' and 'Brian cough'

Not at all. The bloke has got himself banned for 9 games. It's him you should be having a go at, not me.

Did you see the incident. You're telling me I didn't. Did you ?

No but I'm not the one calling his behaviour ridiculous as I can't base that comment on anything I've seen or read so I can't determine if the ban is justified or not.

I'm a supporter of the club, they are supporting him as a Pools player I'll support him when he returns to the side. Even he's done wrong people make mistakes nobodies perfect.

His behaviour resulted in a 9 game ban. the sending off was harsh. What follows was ridiculous behaviour Behaviour that the FA deemed worthy of a 6game ban and the club wouldn't appeal against. Support him all you want. He's likely cost the team points.

I'm not sure it needs answering.

I respect your stance on current state of the club completely, I don't blame anyone who's fed up, I'm not sure what what needs adding further. I obviously don't genuinely think you want Pools to do badly but it is the way it comes across when someone is constantly chipping away.

But maybe that sort of chipping away is whats needed?

Its certainly no worse than those constantly telling us IOR were great and that Green is the Mesiah.

Bresslaw is someone that has been a regular at Pools for as long as I can remember, yet he no longer goes.

If that doesnt worry those still believing in Green, and whoever owns pools now, and those that hate the trust, then they really shouldnt be outside, never mind an opinion.

I can think of numerous people that have suddenly stopped supporting Pools. None of thm want them to lose though.

I don't know Breeslaw but I'm aware of how long he's been going to Pools, I remember reading his contributions in Monkey Business years ago that's why I've I completely respect his stance. But him constantly having a daft pops at Moore is getting a bit boring.

The shame is that I think that hundreds have come back at the start of this season in the hope that things ha e changed with IOR's departure sadly all the early signs are that they haven't really. Even though he appears accessible and open with his Twittering has the chairman actually said anything of substance all season? He's like Hodcroft with small talk. We have the same CEO and are operating in the same part of the transfer market.

He doesn't though at all you keep saying that. I'm not sure where you are getting from I've seen plenty of fair criticism lately. I said myself I thought the team was wrong last week. We're losing games everybody especially the manager has to take responsibility for that.
