People who scatter the word 'so' amongst their conversation like they do on the most unfunny comedy series ever, 'Friends.'

Like, 'You so do just know this.'

WHAT LANGUAGE ARE YOU SPEAKING, YOU FOOKIN MORON?? I CAN HEAR SHAKESPEARE SPINNING IN HIS BOX FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!! rage

And while we're at it I'll treat meself to another.

Instead of saying 'I said'.......'I was like......' or in the parlance 'awalark' as in 'She said hello and awalark....hiya, where you bin....' Or even worse 'Shewalark hello and awalark 'hiyaaaaaaaaaaa.....'

Conjugate the verb 'to lark:'

Awalark
Youwalark
Hewalark
Shewalark
Itwalark
Wewalark
Thewalark

I first heard this on Jerry Springer, I'm not proud I was looking for Sky Sports News, and now you can't talk to anyone under 25 without needing a fookin' translator.

Kev, what about people who use the word 'helllooooo' in mid sentence. Younger women seem to be saying it more and more these days. Again it seemed to originate from America but is gradually infecting us here.

An example:

"So theywerlark 'you look really brown' and awerlark 'hellloooo, I have been on holiday you know'

People raising the pitch of their voice as they get to the end of a sentence, making themselves sound like Aussies or like they're inflecting a question.

e.g "ADG eats too many pies" becomes "ADG eats too many PIE-ees"

The worst thing about posts of this nature is that from now on you will notice such dilect. Whatever you do tonight, whether it be sat infront of the box or round town, you will notice suchlike, and it will make you think of this thread, like

Luckily for the workers, I understand maybe one word in ten that they say and their language is all about inflection so they can't put any of their own in!! :grin:

People who press the button on a 'Pelican' crossing, then walk over before the lights change, and I arrive as the lights do change, but there is no f*cker crossing. You can usually see the b*stards walking away, one of these days I am going to mount the pavement and take one of them out.

The one near us often takes an eternity to change so by the time it does it's not unusual to have had the opportuity to cross.
So my annoyance is not the people who cross before the lights change; it's why don't the fookin' lights change as soon as you press the button?

Visiting our lasses sisters family in Germany for the first time years ago I was stood at a 'pelican' type crossimg and saw everybody waiting to cross but nothing was coming ...so I walked....if looks could kill :evil:

they take their rules very seriously over there. :shock:

The thing is, it is Germany where they have to be really careful when it comes to crossing a road as people are just looking for any excuse to run the buggers over!*

(*ps, this is a joke and I have nothing against Germans, apart from the fact they bombed our chippies of course)
