has anyone used this site before and is it as good as it seems?

I'm about to start sorting a lot of bills out and reckon it could be a very easy way of making a quick few hundred quid but surely it can't be as good as it seems?!

Chris, it is as easy as it seems. I've been using it since last December and I've got £353 stashed in it. I've not had a pay out yet as I've set it to only pay out £200 at a time and it does take a long time for some of the companies to pass the money over to quidco.

Insurance on quidco is the greatest thing ever, I took out our house insure for £141, and got £125 from Barclays!

It's simple. Quidco is a portal which directs punters to companies offering services. Quidco says to company A, would you like to be listed on our directory of companies. Company A says yes, cracking says Quidco, what will you offer our members in return for doing business with you, company A says, hhhhmmmm how about £5 per sale, or 1% of the total transaction. Quidco says it's a deal.

You join quidco, they charge £5 a year admin fee (taken from your earnings, there is nothing to pay upfront) and then you start shopping. You must click through from the quidco page and complete your transaction in full in one browser session, if you don't you risk your transaction not being tracked.

This will explain it better no doubt....

Cheers Kev, I am only hearing good things about it and house insurance is one of the things I will be reviewing.

Also, if you apply for an Egg card they're giving you £40 at the moment. Isn't that the easiest way to make £40 ever seeing as you can just tear it up? I know you don't want to apply for too many though as it'll knack your credit rating

It's also a very easy way to get free Gas and Electric as you're only ever on a 28 day contract so you can switch from one to another and keep getting the cashback

Switching suppliers for Gas & Electric isn't always that easy. I know I deal with the complaints everyday!!

so do I!

Sure it's not always easy but considering thousands do it every day, the percentage chances of you having problems if you did it every 1-2 months is pretty remote.

It's whether you can be arsed more than anything!

I switch people's billing supplier every day and never get any complaints and the company I work for get very few. Some companies put too much pressure on agnts by paying per customer rather than giving a basic wage, which like it sounds is a recipe for disaster.....

You're right there. It is only because I see the small percentage that go wrong I made my earlier comment, probably 99% go through without a problem.

I know a couple of people who work for Npower in Peterlee and they have to put up with 7 hours of customers whinging per day. Some people who ring in are probably just arse holes,

They are Jonny, they are!! A colleague next to me this morning spent 20 minutes trying to convince someone the bill they had just received was correct. 'But I just paid one last week' he said. The young lady could not convince him, despite the fact that the bill he has just paid was from February. She showed incredible restraint in the circumstances. clappp

One of my mates has been sworn at, called names and all kinds whilst at work before, It's actually very skilled how people can keep their cool. I just do the cold calling that many people dread but fce to face you get about one complete arsole about every 2 days which isn't bad.

Ive just registered with quidco and am one step away from confirming that I want to do this, so all I have to do is follow the links through quidco onto the Barclays site (not needing a promotion code) and the money will go into an account??

That's about the top and bottom of it.

Some 'merchants' are slow to pass the cash to quidco, you won't get the money overnight. In fact you may have to wait a couple of months, but it is possible to make some little extra cash from these websites.

Home insurance is a cracker. Check out how much you would pay anyway away from quidco, if it's the same, a little bit more or even less, what have you got to loose?!
