Everyone should read The Knights of Bushido, by Lord Russell of Liverpool. which gives a small example of the atrocities which the Japanese troops perpetrated on POWs. There was a news bulletin from Japan today with activists saying they did nothing wrong. They should have dropped a 3rd bomb on Tokyo.

My grandad was in the Chindits regiment in WW2, who were dropped in behind Japanese lines in the Burmese jungle. After a few months he was taken prisoner of war by Japanese soldiers. Fuck knows what he had to endure, as he never spoke about any of it.

Those that went through things like that never do. My dads best mates dad Syd Grange was i think in three plane crashes in the war and when I was young I asked him about it he just said something's are best left in the past son! Utter legend I am proud to say I knew him I suspect some on here do as his son John grange ran the touchdown over 40's for years and I think still plays cricket for Para's he also is a cracking guy and a great laugh.
