Cue the club will keep banging on about Flinders scoring against them.

I'd delete Twitter, if I had it.

The format of the draw was the worst thing I've seen since the C5 football league show.

You can't say we have no chance of winning.

Teams like Bournemouth sole aim is to stay in the money league, I'd imagine they couldn't give less of a fuck about the League Cup if they were having a competition to to find things they couldn't give a fuck about.

Tough game as they are a good side but we'll be likely to be playing a reserve team.

It's hardly got the pulses racing though, put it this way I won't be getting the night off work for it so it's saved me a days holiday!

Half a chance of it being on tele to be fair we're the only League Two team at home to a Premiership team.

ok, very unlikely to win. We never get 'glamorous' cup draws do we ? Well, since Arsenal in the 90's. Or can you call West Ham....glam ?
At least there should be a TV feature on Poolie/Bournemouth legend Steven Fletcher.

I fancy our chances. We've turned over similar teams in the past like West Brom and Stoke, as PJ said I very much doubt Bournemouth are arsed about cups like this. They don't bring that many fans either.

Fooking hell, you are getting old chip....it's a prem side at home and a chance of getting through to round 3 for all the reasons you state.

Good chance of it being one of the live games as well. Barnsley Everton is the banker game.

Premiership side....or Premiership visitors ...? I know they're there, but it takes some getting used to .

We can dress it up all we like. Its a dreadful draw for both teams and if it prices aren't reduced it will possibly be our lowest crowd of the season. We will be playing them regularly again in 5 or 10 years time when the money dries up.

Its the worst draw for me. Give us a team we have a good chance of beating at home or a big club away with a chance of making some money and a day out for the fans, Northampton!.....lucky bastards! So we will have to see what side Bournemouth put out and see if we can do them and then get the Mags away ( unless the cobblers do them over! ).

Lets get the ticket prices halved and get more poolies in, its just common sense.

Dreadful draw in financial terms, as a chance to progress to round 3 its probably the best possible draw seeing as probably the 'worst' team ability wise we could have drew would have been a team like Brighton who would probably take it serious, we have got a slightly better team who wont be arsed and pretty much nailed on to play a weakened side.

Which teams amongst the seeded teams would we be more likely to beat?

I'm not quite sure how it's a shit draw for both sides either.

The journey aside for Bournemouth, they have got on paper the worst side left in the draw so would expect to qualify without need of first team regulars. For ourselves, we have a team which plays West Ham and Leicester either side of ourselves so may well see a second string side so probably more chance than against a full strength Fulham or Brighton side for example.

There wasn't many 'money spinners' if you look at it really as crowds are always shit in this cup.

Plus outside chance of being on TV if they deem it potential for biggest cup upset.

I,m sure the chairman will be promoting the game at £10 and £5 consessions.
Cant see Bournemouth objecting to them prices now they in the Premiershit!

Regardless of what you think of theose clubs, and their fans, had we got any of them you would have been looking at a full ground, and with Sunderland or Newcastle the tie would have been nailed on to be televised, regardless of whether they played a full strength team.

You only have to look at the numbers these clubs bring to pre season friendlies. Newcastle and Sunderland would have taken 3,000 tickets and sold them all.

If that doesnt constitute a " money spinner " then I dont know what does ???

but it's not terrible. we needed one of them 3 realistically to be classed as a money spinner. fair enough likes of everton would of got a decent crowd but I'd hardly say it's a terrible draw. The fact they do the seeding crap, means we are guaranteed a difficult game and as been pointed out the championship teams are probably more likely to play full strength teams.

I'd pointed out newcastle away would of been a good draw, but having initially thought it was terrible draw, I don't think it's horrendous as people have pointed out.

having just looked there were 19 teams left to be drawn, with us knowing we were at home, i guess only maybe the 3 mentioned north east neighbours would of helped push it towards a full house and a live game (if sunderland or newcastle).

there were certainly tougher games but a home game i think gives us the best chance of progress with the format of seedings.

Luton v stoke
Barnsley v Everton

I would imagine these will be the 2 televised games this round. Everton pretty much the best side in at this round amd stones former club so added spice. Other game league 2 v prem and to be fair to Luton they won it on the late 80s so have good history in this cup. If Theres 3 games then maybe we have a chance

Personally I think it's a shit draw for a few reasons. Mainly this was a league fixture just 2 years ago and they are at the opposite end of the country so can't see many away fans. Also I would think there reserves will be quite good considering a lot of them will have played a part in ripping the championship apart just last season.

As for crowd I would think 3000 mark unless there's an offer on for season ticket holders to get cheaper tickets. Club should reward fans who have payed upfront for the season £10/£5 adults and child. I would also say £15/£10 for everyone else might get the crowd somewhere near 4000. Full proce I would think 2500 max.

oh definitely needs to be low price tickets for the game.

they played a lot of their first team from last season on the opening day so might be a chance for their reserves to be lot lower quality. it's highly against the odds for us to get a good draw and to be honest even though the seeding meant we would get a so called 'better' side it's a bit of a joke.

Great move by the club for the ticket prices, should be a big crowd!

I didn't realise we were guaranteed a home draw and who was left so fair enough. I've definitely past this 'big day out' / money spinner bollox though mind, I'd love to see us do what Bradford did last year and other lower league clubs have done in the past and really progress in the cups for a change.

I would also like us to get to Wembley and win the Johnston Pints Trophy, I'd like to win the title and if it's now asking too much, I'd also like the moon on a stick this season
