I get this now, like my hips aren't working properly or my knee needs to click.

I love a comfy chair but it has to be firm.

I'm only 24!

I've started finding that my Achilles sort of locks up and has to be snapped back into place after I've sat for a while. I also seem to be getting pains I'm my thigh and neck which I'm assuming is a compensatory thing for my ankle being bad. I literally started falling to bits the day I hit 30. I never got injured before that

I've just started playing football again at 42 for a local vets team and after every session despite warming up and down, I need a fookin wheat bag on my groin and lower back and I also get an entirely new pain somewhere else too. The one from yesterday was my right heel.

It's funny how you feel better when you find other people have the same health problems as you do. It's not that you want other people to suffer....it just makes you feel more normal :)

Just done my fucking hamstring :( :(

Never had any problems with it before, just felt a small pop and that was that.

Currently sat with a cool pack (those meant to keep food cool) attached to the back of my leg.

Fucking gutted.

Does anyone have any magic remedies? Got a game on Sunday.... :( :(

Am planning to apply the cool pack for 20mins every couple of hours....anyone suggest owt else?

Did I mention I was fucking gutted?

Bastarding twat.

My advise is you won't be playing on Sunday. I got a docs appointment on Monday to see about my knee I have dropped it out three times so far with the knee cap moving and stupidly never went to docs or hospital. First times I did it was at uni so I just pushed it back and carried on drinking. Last few months it's been hurting like hell so need to go and when I bend it, it cracks like a crunchie bar. Thankfully my stupidity may pay off as I never been before more than likely covered by my work bupa insurance.

I did hamstring for first time a while ago. Felt fine so played two weeks later and went again straight away. Depends how severe it is I guess but rest is needed.

Aye, you're probably right Compo...I'm just hoping it's a small pull or whatever.

Dunno how I'll cope when we score 12 against Morecambe on Saturday....that'll only make it worse too :(

Think you're only allowed 2 replacement knees in your life (the same knee obviously)...don't know why....so unless you're an old duffer Mr Compo, I'd stick with the shit one you have...

I left it longer than probably needed. About 2 months and made sure I did a lot of stretching first.

As has been said, it will be a while.

Oh and once it's gone, even if you let it fully heal, there will always be a weakness. Basically, you are fooked. Maybe time to forget the comeback and get yourself down the bowls club. Once it's healed of course

Nah, I reckon I've got enough in my locker to tempt Sir Ron into giving me a years deal even if I am carrying an injury. Strap it up and crack on. I'd still make more appearances than Mr Parnaby

For anyone interested, which is no-one obviously but I'll bore you to tears about it anyway, my leg is loads better. Still don't fancy running on it but the limp has nearly gone and whilst it's still tight it's not as bad as it was......if it continues to repair as it has to date I'll be playing again next week :)

(and then out for months when I tear the bugger for going back too soon)
