I live in York so bobbed in to get 3 tickets for Pools v York and I asked how many Season Tickets they had sold and it was 1631 a bit down on last year, adult early bird £350 now £375, wonder who has made the most cash?

York's season tickets were £300 to stand like. Not good at all.

Although I hate the open away terrace, pools and Yorks ground are a dying breed being right in the town centre, these out of town flat pack grounds are shit IMHO confised

This isn't one of those let's put the prices up to silly levels to prove you're s true pooly posts is it...? As apparently advocated by some people appalled at cheap ticket offers.
In the extreme you could have a £1 million pound season ticket with a fan base of two lunatics.

POOLS set the prices to maximise the income from there 3000+ die hards.
Im sure the hierarchy are delighted to sell over 3000 + STs after a 150% increase from 4 seasons ago.
Hoping the increase is justified by a succesful season.

AS for Yorks prices not surprised sales arent to clever.

Pools should clear 750 000, York somewhere between 500000 -550000

If you take into account Pools should have an average higher gate, we'll be raking it in compared to York

Aye, Hartlepool United the countries only fan base made up of 16-59 year old adults!

I think we'll be making on a par with most clubs who are charging top whack. At least the £25 for away fans has been done away so we might see a few more of those this season. But it's where York have a big advantage as the gate is boosted most weeks by good travelling numbers coming for a day out. I wonder if moving to a breeze block box in a retail car park will see a decline in this?

I haven't included concessions in either calculation, so the difference would still be pretty much the same even if the figures different. It'd be pretty much impossible to form an argument off the figures available to us, suggesting York to be getting more funds into the club by having higher season ticket prices

Anyway it's a well known FACT that Pools supporters consume twice as many pints and pies whilst at the match compared to our shandy drinking, prawn sandwich eating 'neighbours' down the road, resulting in the clubs coffers swelling even further :p

As long as it's in York it could be in a pig farm as far as ppl coming for the day out is concerned. Can't say the same for Hartlepool. More than 10 mins from Church Street or the Marina? forget it.
