I have just seen a bloke who staying in same hotel with me who is a famous comedy writer or columnist but can't think of his name. I think he used to write material for bob monkhouse he has white hair and big black glasses. He is always on them top 100 shows giving his two penneth worth and I believe was in the tv show grumpy old men. Does any one know who I mean as its doing my head in.

He's 80, one of the funniest comedy writers ever, written for most of the big comedy names of the last 50 years, although I don't think he wrote for Bob Monkhouse.

Often with John Junkin.
They produced and played in a totally irreverent Python-style sketch show (never afraid to throw a pair of tits in or use borderline-acceptable swearing - it was a big deal back then). Might even have predated Monty Python. I think it only ran one season. Can't for the life of me remember the name.
