None of the trialists in tonight? I thought Ronnie wanted to have a good look at this Whittle lad, maybe seen enough?

I see Featherstone just scored after getting put through. He was getting quite a few attacks in going by Twitter at Gateshead too, is he being played further forward in pre season??

Woods plAyed holding role at Gateshead and featherstone pushed forward. Presume Magnay playing holding midfield last night so again must be pushing forward.

Was one of our best players after woods got injured last season too

That surprises me although Woods is better at getting tackles in than Featherstone so makes a bit of sense. Featherstone seemed to gain a yard of pace towards the end of the season and started to be able to beat a man etc. Could be interesting actually.

woods was best player on the pitch I thought at gateshead, certainly wasn't wary about flying into challenges
