What does a man killing a lion have to do with people's political persuasion?

Let's join the dots . . .

Most of the people on here are lefties.

Lefties believe in good animal welfare.

Cecil was an animal killed by a trophy hunter, Walter Palmer.

HTH.

Nope, not by that deduction (whatever that deduction was).

I'm a lefty, I couldn't give a fuck about some man I've never heard of killing a wild animal on another continent.

There are way more important things to give a fuck about like what should I have for tea and what colour should I paint my front door?

I just can't decide what flavour crisps to choose for my afters. Far more important than some coward with a gun killing an endangered animal.

I'm a leftie and I live in East Africa, and no, I don't agree with it at all. That being said, I have acquaintances who work in the hunting business in Kenya and Tanzania and at least that is regulated and managed very tightly (though why anyone would want to shoot an innocent animal in the head beats me). The case in Zimbabwe was pure criminality.

I'd probably raise a smile if someone shot him to death to be honest.

I was an active trade unionist and still attend Durham Miners Gala; I despised Mrs Thatcher with her brand of free market economics. The killing of the lion by the American dentist was utterly morally repugnant. I hope the killer and his accomplices can be brought to task by American/ African laws and suitably punished.

As some of you know I been shooting in the past an did from age of 18 until last year. Everything I have ever shot I have eaten. I don't understand the mentality of wanting to shoot an aminal like this. That may sound odd to some people n here and a bit hypocritical but if I shoot something I am doing it so I can eat it.

The only hypocrisy would be from people who criticised you whilst eating their bacon sarnies.

The only reason you should shoot an animal is to eat it, to protect life, or as part of an exercise in protecting the environment eg deer culls.

A Lion bar is based on actual Lion flavour samples.

Do Mars bars taste like Mars then?

And what about Turkish Delight?

It's a good job they don't sell '5 Boys' any more.

Wouldn't that take some form of bravery?

This big game hunting is fairly one sided isn't really, defenceless animal v massive shotgun isn't an equal contest is it?

Why is everyone talking about this Cecil the Lion chap like we should know him why was he such a famous Lion? Was he some teams mascot or something? Why was he famous, was he lined up for the next series of celebrity Big Brother? I'd watch that, stick a Lion in with 12 unarmed hunters then we'll see how good they are at it.

Famous...?
Look at his family tree...

The lion who fought Tarzan
I
The MGM lion
I
World Cup Willie
I
Clarence the cross eyed lion ( Daktari)
I
Lenny the Lion
I
Elsa the lion (Born Free)
I
The late Cecil.

Now that's what I call famous

So basically he lived off the fame of relatives?

I know it's wrong to speak ill of the dead but Cecil was no better than one of the Geldoff kids or Bianca Gascoigne.

I'd be wary and check full details of the event with organisers before buying tickets for 'Jizz Hunting'

I'm not making that mistake again that DVD was disgusting.

Why do you keep making yourself look like a know-nothing fool, Chipolata? I know why - it's just what you are.

Comfortable - contented and undisturbed

You spend time posting on a forum of something you have no interest in. Much rather be comfortable and content than sad enough to do that. Add in the fact that everyone on said forum thinks that you're a moron

What does "comfortably wealthy" actually mean? You have an annual income after tax of over £100,000 and substantial capital? You'll need to quote some numbers for your assertion to have any meaning.
