So for some bizarre reason I thought about him today and googled to see where he's playing (Malaysia). But what stood out for me was Wikipedia saying that he scored 11 goals in 27 appearances for us. Surely it was more like 1?

I do remember him being pretty useful. There was a game down at Yeovil where we were 1-0 up (Rare Mackay goal I think) and Antwi got a head injury. By the time we'd bandaged him up off the field we were 2-1 down!

I remember him being 'useful' against us and 'useful' for his first 2 or 3 games and then being utter dog shit.

He had obvious ability and was a natural athlete but for his centre back his mind tended to wander slightly!

He used to let high balls bounce with alarming consistency. Had all of the attributes apart from the one in between the ears.

The thing that used to frustrate me most was heading the ball high straight up in the air, rather than away. More than once I've seen him head his own clearance again when there was a bit of a breeze.

Wasn't as bad as some make out. Played alongside nelson who was beginning his decline but exempt from criticism because of previous seasons

I went on a double date with him once at Teesside park with my mrs and her mate. He never drank beer but had a red bull.

He scored on his debut I seem to recall. He certainly took a fair bit of stick from the crowd as his tenure with us progressed. Certainly didn't score 11 in 27.

I remember him scoring a good headed goal against Doncaster in 2007. Was that his debut? I recall him playing in a game prior to that goal. The only one I seem to remember him scoring. I certainly can't think of 11.

He never gave the appearance of being fully aware of his surroundings IMO. There were plenty of occasions when the only way he could have looked less alert whilst in possession would have been if he'd actually fallen to sleep on the ball.

His competitive debut was the season opener at Luton. I was there. We lost 2-1 and our goal was a late Vince Barker penalty.
ALB was in goal and gave us an excellent foretaste of his inability to judge the trajectory of a ball.
Antwi was never at fault and actually looked the business.

Was that the late Vince Barker? That must have been the only goal he ever scored for us, which isn't bad going from the Chairman's box :-o

If I remember rightly, Luton were lucky as fook in that game and the ref was terrible. Typical day at Kenilworth Road for Pools really.
