I see no Carroll on bench? He injured?

Zac Thompson on bench, centre mid who got two straight reds in his first 9 games through bad challenges so might be a ball winner that we need in the middle. His wiki also says he can play right back.

His name rings a bell, maybe used to sign him on footy manager.

1-1 Bingham... Woods looks like he's limping, I'd take him off

3-2 Bingham hat trick, bizarre goal and terrible goalkeeping

Maybe overreacting but I'm getting a bit worried about how we're shaping up

Defence clearly taking time to gel, apparently Worley and Harrison had words too?

Said it after Tuesday and will say it again, this formation is horrendous.

Woods best player on pitch for me and whittle looked decent. But we are somehow turning players who were good last season (Harrison and Jones) into very poor defenders with a change of formation.

Bingham did what he's there to do but Gateshead looked so much sharper it was untrue. Bit of a worry 2 weeks before season. Lot to work on!

Did we not play 3-5-2 mainly when Ronnie came here last season?

Defending was awful, we got torn about for the 4th goal. Alex Whittle looked a very tidy player who I think should be signed.

I think people need to realise that just because we avoided relegation last year and signed 10 players so far does not equal automatic playoff/promotion this year. I get that it's a friendly but we were woeful and some parts outclassed by Gateshead. We need a formation that suits out players ability and at the minute we seem very exposed.

We played a number of formations but sure we played more 433/451 when he first came as Bingham played up front on his own and Fenwick was on the left.

I'd be happy to go back to that, anything other this 352 as usually it's just dull and boring but not when the defensive 3 defend like today!

Think we had our best run of form last season when playing 3-5-2 under Moore.
