Cheers lads, I'm just doing a survey that's all of how many bunker members work at Barclays, tomorrow I'll be asking who works at Argos.

I'll answer that one now if it's ok cos I'm busy tomorrow.

I don't.

Can you let me know where you'll be asking about for the rest of the week, might help your survey if you know the answers in advance.

I might need to know if anyone worked at Barclaycard not Barclays. Hope that changes things for some people.

I work in Stockton, and I'm going running down the Barrage at Dinnertime, past Barclaycard. I also have a Barclaycard. 0% interest till June 2016. Handy for online stuff etc like Argos.

I did my first decent run in about 3 years yesterday and now my calf muscles nack like hell.

I'll definitely be giving Argos a miss tomorrow.

Not that I work there like.

It's in terms of a job I was looking at applying for, a bit of a technical question about software the analysts use. Think I've found the answer though.

Aye this would be direct with Barclaycard by the looks of it so I should be alright. I tend to avoid social media altogether when it comes to work, don't get these idiots who post about work like.

If the job is working for First Source via an Agency then I would avoid it like the plague. Some of the managers there were complete and utter scum, largely from the shittiest bit of Boro, with massive chips on their shoulders.

About 10 times more cliques than on here.

It's an analyst job I'm going for at Barclaycard, hoping they use Avaya Call Management system as I have few year experience with it.

I can only speak about my experience, I worked there for 5 months, and I think I met two people that were alright, the rest were a set of humourless fuckers. I think they actually had a policy of sacking anyone that laughed .

Î know someone who worked at Barclay's call centre and they skinned his dog alive in front of everybody just to set an example.

To be fair though, at least Barclay's on Teesside will speak understandable English. When I used to get Lloyds TSB Jocks on the line I had to pretend the phone was playing up to avoid embarrassment due to incomprehension.

CMS is pretty old hat now, I'd imagine they'll be on ICR or SNQ.

All still plug in to CC Pulse with Genesys Config Manager so can't see it being too unfamiliar.

Should have gave me a shout if you were looking for that kind of work, an external role just went with our company, probably the highest paid in the north east as well.

Working in a call centre has got to be a means to an end. Surely no one in their right mind would want to work in one of these places, unless they were absolutely on the bones of their ar*ses. The world of work is pretty grim at the moment wherever you are, but call centres ffs! the lowest of the low in terms of the jobs market, soul destroying and 99% full of idiots. I wouldn't last a minute in one, I hope things never get that bad that I have to apply to work in one.

Yeah CMS seemed dated when I was using it. It's only recently I've started looking elsewhere, working in local government isn't the best place right now and could be out of a job by December. There's a couple of analysts jobs popping up in the area like.

You sure? I've worked myself into a tidy and engaging job on a very good salary. My Gaffer is on 6 figures and there's loads of scope for promotion.

Even the guys on the phones are pulling in £30k+ with bonus. Don't believe all you read in the papers, we're not all Garlands.

Garlands was one of the best and worst experiences in my life, some days it was absolutely grim but some days was the complete opposite. Without call centres I wouldn't have got myself into the job I'm doing, not on massive money but very grateful for previous jobs.

Garlands was a great learning curve for my daughter, she decided not to go to uni, have a gap year, soon changed after a few weeks at Garlands, gap year went out the window !
