Just watching some dangerous tackles clip on YouTube and got me thinking of what really bad fouls/stamps/punches iv seen at the Vic and I can't think of many?

I remember that fat Darlo reject playing for Oldham and blatantly wiping Porter (?) out on half way with no intention for the ball. Monkhouse elbowing, punching, stamping etc and always getting away with it. Can't think of many others? sctatchinghead

Paul Hart's tackle on Mark Lawrence when we played Leeds in the FA cup. Lawrence was highly rated but after that tackle was out for months and was never the same player. Never liked Hart after that, fat bastard.

Not so much a bad tackle - but can anyone else remember *Steve Howard? playing Darlo and scoring whilst simultaneously booting their 39 year old centre back and breaking his femur

That was pretty horrific - but it was against Darlo so I think sympathy was in short supply

*hazy memory - it could've been another striker but for some reason I'm certain it was a young stevie howard.

Antony Skedd vs Reading, late 1990s. We were 4-1 down at home and I was in the Mill House Stand - Reading were taking the piss and some fella shouted "just do him Skeddy". So he did. Sharp intakes of breath all round but I think he was just yellow carded.

Without doubt it was Bob Newton on a goalkeeper who was taking the out of the box to kick upfield. Good old Bob ran 15 yards to him and cleaned him out..............brilliant! Got booked i think.......

Also Luke James after he came on for one of his first games. Stamped on the left back ankle in a horror tackle that left the opponent on the floor......Austin "sprinted" from the other half to plead with the Ref " hes just a young lad ref didnt mean it etc etc. He didnt even get booked when it should of been red. I think we should send Austin to sort the mess out in the middle east if he has those powers of persuasion......
