Moved to Ross County, average crowd 3500, finished 4th bottom of a very poor league. Hey is this the same Franks who played for Pools. Obviously not inundated with offers and could not go any further north. I can't imagine his wages will be that much more than he would get in the 2nd Division. A few games in the very cold North will see him off.

Reading this article he sounds quite bitter.

He has good words about everybody apart from anybody to do with the last 2 years.

He obviously thinks his contribution in thoughts 2 years was to a very high standard so there you are.

Little disappointed in him really.

I can,t believe what I just read, he was one of the reasons we were struggling with his constant inability to get a cross into the box or even tackle and win the ball. Good riddance. rakxe

Another player with in the "it's not my fault brigade"

The last 3 years we've been relegated and then survived relegation twice very late on, he's played almost 150 games so i'd pretty much say he's partly to blame for that.

Not many players over the last 3 years can hold their heads high, he doesnt score goals, doesn't make goals really, he just runs about a lot.

A bit of responsibility wouldnt go a miss.

Sounds like he's already planning his move away from ross county too.

This ^ Id be fuming if i was a Ross County fan and he came out with that line straight away. He never came accross as very bright.

I seriously cant believe his comment about being too good for us!!

I'm fine with a player bigging himself up after a move but that's an astonishing read.

Hopefully Franksy will grace us with his presence when he hits 34.

Someone should post him a video of the blyth game, but he'll probably retort that he scored against 8 postmen, 2 plumbers and a brickie. Which in all fairness was a key feature of his game, scoring against a bunch of people who were probably on the piss the night before.

He's found his level at least. Funny that it's the Jocks 'Premiership'.

I take it he had big decision to make, loads of options, clubs from all over wanting to sign, Scunthorpe etc but opted for the most northerly one, maybe houses are cheap up there !

Will be signing for a Conference team this time next year. For a lower division player with limited ability going to play in Scotland isnt a good career move.

He must have a screw loose? Compton who wasn't even in the picture for large chunks of the season had more assists than him who played almost every game. He is probably right though, that little shuffle he does where he predictably goes towards the touchline 19/20 times really is world class. Messi has nothing on these moves! The player with the most shots and crosses at the club last season and it was useless.

Irrespective of his performance, I though he was better than this. There's talking yourself into a club and being utterly deluded, surely there manager isn't daft enough to think he had nothing to do with last season. I just think he knows he wont be starting if Moore gets who he wants so is playing the big I am.

Celtic are about on a par with Burton Albion. Scotch "Fitba" is fucked. Has been for years.

They just happen to have a big ground with a Loyal fanbase.

These two ex-Pools players will be SPL regulars..says it all.

This the same guy who was getting ironic cheers when his delivery occasionally beat the first defender last year?

16 goals in 143 games, slated all last season and offered reduced terms. Glad to see the back of him

I think we'll massively miss Franks' ability to run down the winger staring at the floor then delivering a shit cross. Relegation nailed on for us next season.

He's product of a famed academy system. He's spent all of his development having smoke blown up his arse being told how good he is whilst being paid too much before he's done anything worthy of that sort of coin and now exists in a deluded state of denial. He'll be doing similar interviews when he signs for Spennymoor.

Go on, say it how it really is. These two Pools rejects.

Two players who weren't good enough for the 3rd worst team in English league football go straight into the top flight of Scottish football.

I've just offered Franks a new contract in my game, only just got a new laptop so first proper chance of playing FM15. Currently 3rd in league two, Franks & Morgan have been my best players!

This game sounds like the perfect escape from reality. It's just a shame you replaced Colin Cooper before he had the chance to go on and become the world's second best manager ever after John Carver.

He said he's too good to be involved in a relegation scrap.

Considering he's been in one the last 3 years he's a bit off the mark.

He might've had a relegation scrap in his Footy Manager game.

Just had a read on the Ross county forum, a few of them are calling franks a good signing. One says he has a mate who's a pools fan and he said that franks was a great player. Must be taking the piss out of him surely.

And were on top in the second leg prior to losing a man. Plus some good results in the Champions League over the last few seasons.

He's got high standards, well he never let it show or affect his game.
We had even higher standards which he never achieved, hence the past few rubbish seasons he was involved in.
Why did't he just walk away, keep his mouth shut and hang on to what respect he had.

I suspect that he was maybe conned a bit into confirming questions put to him, but he should know better than to fall into that trap.
